  1. Oh yeah? Is that so? And where's the original then? ← http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.ph...930entry27930
  2. 'Cause they're so cheap up here, I wanted phantom, but I was to late.
  3. I've been using SIPME voip prepaid. 10c to national numbers untimed, free to other sipme users, and none of my relo's could tell the difference. I use either a standard phone through a usb converter or a $10 headset from woollies and there free software.
  4. Its fair to say a mass produced product will have a percentage of defective products, say 20% being generous so 80% should have NO problems but he's having trouble finding 1?? Perfectly fair thread IMO. PS and if I had feedback every 2nd unit clicked and needed spacers and tightening, I'd check it BEFORE I sold it, not wait to see if the customer whinges then fix it.
  5. If you think beer stocking is all that's happening you're mistaken, its being taken quite seriously by most, there was a line up to the tip, most supermaket shelves are now void of tinned food, nappies long life milk, batteries etc. The servos are a constant flow and most are out of bbq gas, a local dist. sold out of a load of generators which he ordered in forsight. So now I'm fairly prepared and it looks like its going inland anyway, I'll sit back and have a beer while I wait. Fancy cancelling the Anzac Day services, bit of weather wouldn't of stopped our diggers.

  7. Oh Crap http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDD65811.shtml
  8. Yep still going.
  9. Yep crap idea, just put all wouldbe drivers through the traffic offenders program or similar, show them these arent just cars but very dangerous pieces of machinery, (if you work in a factory no way would pedestrians be aloud that close to heavy machinery, moving at such speed) thoroughly test all drivers, including tourists. my 2c on the subject.
  10. Top thread Dags
  11. Been a bit quiet on here lately, as the cars been running like crap intermittantly and I dont like posting problems all the time. I gave up driving it in the end as I didnt have the time to get it to and from service (they dont do loan cars anymore?) Sooo, finally after numerous attempts, someone in Ford service had the nouse to actually fix the miss that's given me the sh*ts for months. A coil pack, that easy, Man what a difference I had literally forgotten how good this car went. So now I might start looking at the edit again. PS I wonder if it runs on electricity or I have a voltage reg problem as well, as this is now on its 3rd battery since new??
  12. You cant compare NT open highway rules to any of the other states.. Of course speed has everything to do with it. So does a lapse in concentration and people being given their licenses to easily. I still dont know why people get so upset over the 'no speeding or youll cop a fine rule'.. If you speed, live with the bloody consequences.. I do. ← Why can't you compare the NT to other states? ← I think the major difference with our roads is the shear volume of cars their highways see, Ive never seen 150k of banked traffic in th NT, unlike the F3.
  13. Cant be done from what I was told, any of the above methods been tested??
  14. I think, the main prob was a pipe, black in color, 'bout 75mm in dia, connected to an alloy pipe below the d/side headlight, CAN, blow off with the factory clamp. But any loose clamp on those intake pipework (also black like radiator hoses) could cause the whistle. Hope that's a help, theres always the bus stop chicks theory.
  15. The big hoses that connect the turbo to the intercooler, then to the crossover on the motor. Some guys have had troubles with hoses blowing off from extra boost the stanadard clamps arent so good. Just make sure all the fat black intake associated hoses are ok, mainly after the turbo, cause they have positive pressure.
  16. Visit the mechanic for sure, all the time is sounding like an intake leak, you might check the intake hose clamps first.
  17. Well it must be the turbo, or the chicks at the bus stop
  18. Umm pulley, if your talking about the main pulley, the harmonic balancer, mine started destroying the rubber, but they said it was fine at 2 seperate services, then when I said I was driving it to Qld they airbag a replacement up here. But I didnt notice any noises from it, just the rubber oozing out....Darwin heat for ya. Edit: Unless the tensioner bearing is dry, that could make it whistle, or the obvious as above belt slip.
  19. Oh yes an excuse for a drive into the open zone, I'll let you know where mine changes. From memory it drops out of top at around 140, scared crap out of me when I forgot I was in sport mode.
  20. And so you cant hear the screams.
  21. Dont think its that bad, but can it turn, at all, without scrubing the front wheel arches?
  22. Why would you want to replace the engine bay, I thought you only broke a small bit in it? Do dealers stock engine bays?.... and how the hell do you unbolt the engine bay..... Nothing useful to add here.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh der, havent you seen em, they're in the engine bay isle.
  23. So without any form of edit how does the ecu cop with the new plenium, oh and where can you get one!
  24. I'll do my best for stokes hill, but I'm flying to Melbourne on Sunday. I should make it though.
