  1. Hi, what power did she make stock? Just curious at the gain made from your mods.
  2. Hi guys, Ive had 2 tunes from 2 different and reputable tuners and this issue still exists... Is their something funky with the f6s that makes this hard to get rid of?
  3. who is tuning your car if you dont mind me asking.
  4. Hi guys, I think I have an issue with my Auto Trans on my Fg F6, however I have now seen 2 seperate dealers and they both tell me there is nothing wrong. The best way I can explain it is If I turn OFF Traction Control, Put it into Performance Auto, lightly stall it and accelerate hard, The car will take off but then at around 20kmh, I get a very quick cut in power, similar to traction control but without any fart sounds etc. I have had this issue since new, I really dont know what to do anymore, does anyone think it could be a spark plug problem? I will try get some video of the problem occuring, I am also driving another auto fg f6 this week to see if their demo car does the same thing - I am pretty certain it wont happen. Thanks in advance!
  5. I agree they should offer 90 days from the official announcement of the cutoff to assist all those who are currently tuning, or were not aware of the xcal 1 issues. There are alot of people who dont read car forums, so would be completely oblivious to this info. It would be the duty of the reseller (tuners) to educate the customers of the ceasing of support of xcal 1 and to advise the purchase of xcal 3 as has been already mentioned by one tuner in this post.
  6. This is definitely a messy situation for us all. My question is how far away is full ZF tuning? And how good will this be to the cars performance? I am happy to upgrade my xcal 1 to a 3 for this, so it is not the worst thing that has ever happened. I really think that Herrod have done all they can with this, so its not really all their fault, however better communication, ie announcing the exact date the xcal1 would no longer be tunable would of been preferable.
  7. Well done!!! Can you give specs of mods done to car inc Fuel used and tyres! Once again well done! Give me motivation to get my mods onto my Fg F6!!!
  8. I assume this car was tuned by Nizpro due to Nizpro cooler and Exhaust? Anyway please more info regarding this F6.
  9. Hi guys, car is tuned, I havent noticed if its at the same rpm, I will be more aware of revs of when it happens. TC is definately off, as light is illuminated on dash. So sounds like tourqe tag from tranny?
  10. Hi Guys, I have an issue with my Fg F6 (ZF). Basically if I turn TC OFF, I still get power cuts, which feel like traction control kicking in. I also noticed when I have it in Performance mode, If the power cuts occurs, the Centre Display ppops up with "performance mode" and then goes back to the speedi. Has anyone experienced any issues like this. It is extrememely annoying and the car is not very enjoyable to drive hard due to this. I also feel it is down in power, could fouled spark plugs be causing this problem? Thanks in advance..
  11. As already posted, there is no definite answer. However if you are looking for a figure, aim for 12:1.
  12. Regardless what stock power you hit, you will probably see a gain of 25-30rwkw after tune. All dynos are different but gains are generally similar.
  13. Cnr Newton Rd and Gorge Road. Cant miss it.
  14. Hi I have a Fg F6. It already has 2 custom edit tunes on the car, both done while I had a standard exhaust on it. I am getting a Hiflow cat installed today, Will the car go into limp mode even with the custom edit tunes in it. My tuner tells me I should be fine and will get another 1psi boost, that is all. Anyone else have experience with this?
  15. thanks for "teh" advice. I don't care what other people have done. Its my f6 so I think Ill mod it as I like, Cheers
  16. Sorry guys I bought a Rapid Cooler, will fab the pipes myself in the future. Will post results when I get car tuned in month or so.
  17. Tyres would be tax deductible as they are a running cost of the vehicle. Not sure about the wheels. I wouldnt risk it. In the grand scheme of things, if you claim depreciation of vehicle, running costs (fuel, oil, insurance, rego), interest on loan inc setting up costs and any maintanance (service, tyres, repairs), that works out to heaps. If you are on a avg salary of 50-60k, you will most likely not be able to drop to a lower tax bracket so adding other things which are questionable is a stupid move. For example, adding a set of wheels (no tyres) may get you another $50-70 return probably. Adding all mods to car (avg 3-4k) will maybe net max $500. I personally wouldnt bother as the likelyness of you being audited will increase. You dont think the ATO wonder why a $50k car required $6k of maintainance in 1 year...... Anyway good luck to you. better keep those receipts for 7 years!
  18. Agree with Benny. I doubt you can claim mods as deductible as you cannot relate this to a work purpose. If you do try, good luck, dont cry when you get audited.
  19. how? mts?
  20. I tried it, zf kicks down to 2nd on wot... What to do? Ramped up from 68kmph btw
  21. I will do it in 4th and ramp up earlier. Will the box kick down gears with full throttle or will it be ok? Mods, edit on fg f6
  22. Did this test with my fg, 2.69 80 to 120. Recorded the footage and then reviewed it when home, broke it down frame by frame to get exact time. Ramped up form 70kmph in 3rd. zf box.
  23. Hi guys, Im about to commencing the 2nd stage of modifying my fg f6. I think power after tuning will be between 350-370rwkw and I will be using 60lb injectors. Does anyone know the flow rate of the stock Fg f6 fuel pump, or has anyone pushed it to these power levels. I would mind keeping the stock pump, but the cost of an upgraded walbro is cheap, so its more that I am curious how far the stocky can go. Thanks
  24. Yes, make sure Rear Right to Front Right, Rear Left to Front Left.
