    Brakes

Just wondering what people think are the best brakes availalbe for the xr6t utes. Is it possible to get the brembos (4 or 6 piston) off the fpv without having a chasis number. Thanks
  6. They replaced it again (under warranty), they said that 3M have said that there are a few falcons having the same problem, they recommened to use baby oil or vas (as xxxr6t said). Hopefully want happen again.
  7. Has any one else had problem with window tint? My ute is about to go back in for the second time were it seems the rubber at the top of the door is to tight and pushing the tint down making it bubble. They recon they will have to shave some of the rubber away to make contact not as tight. What do we all think?
  8. No sorry no pics. But where the passengers right foot would be, just up above the end of carpet is where it is. Oval shape. big enough to run heaps of cables through.
  9. I went through grommet on passenger side just above carpet. nice and easy, plus mine is manual so none on drivers side.
  10. a. how do I do that. b. yes there are three copies of same post - sorry!!!!!
  11. I have said it once and I will say it again, I hate auto elecy work. Give me an engine any day to work on. But I have finally finished (well not really) the loom for the boost gauge was only long enough to just make it to the back of the gauge, therefore I an not able (yet) to get the last screw in place in the boost gauge. (crap ss inductions why cant they use factory clips). But any how here are pics.
  12. Dont have tc (ute). and I have already ran wires through the bung on the passenger side, thanks every one for you input, the joys shall continue tomorrow.
  13. Thanks Darren but I have got those instructions already, it says where the wire clips are, but pushing on the lug and pulling down it just wont come out (stage 5 in instructions). Sorry urslow but what does TC stand for? Thanks for your input.
  14. been a while since been on forum, came crawling back when I need help!!!!!!!! Got gauges ages ago and today finally thought that it is about time to put them in. Guess what I hate auto elecy work!!!!!!!!!! After losing the t piece for about 45 mins, (many words yelled and tools throwen.) Finished in engine bay then proceded to start on inside. How the hell do the plugs for the icc come undone. I have tried for ages and ages I pushed I poked and now I have thumbs that hurt like hell. I had the instructions on icc removal and install, but I just cant get plug no 1 to some out. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. I confess too, that I have also give the front spoiler the kiss of death, but luckly for me it was a few days before it went in for some warranty painting, as the front spoiler in places looked like it only had one coat of paint on it. still cost a couple of bucks to get them to prep it, but cheapest respray ever on the front spoiler!!!!
  16. I got the autometer untra lite electrical boost gauge and same for oil pressure. Personally I perfer elect gauge as no lines carrying oil or boost have to be run into the cabin, cost more of course but hate the idea of a split line and oil squirtting every where.
  17. I thought I had read lots of people were using the cig as their remote wire. I may be wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????????? And hoped to have run power for guages of it as well. David
  18. I didn't mean the main power supply for the amp. As amp is directly connected to the battery (via fuse) it would be on constantly, I think the line supply or feed line (don't know what it is called), must switch amp on and off when access is on. but have no idea how much it draws and wether it constantly does when access is on or not, and wether that and two guages is too much? David
  19. I thought the rear (muffler) was a resonator. David
  20. I do plan on getting excited this weekend and finish off stereo and put in my two guages. To make the job easier I was planning on using the cig for feed power for my amp (I think that is what it is called), and then to make job even easier use the cig for power and lights for my two guages. Will this draw too much power? You suggestions would be muchly appreciated. David
  21. Why not buy electric guage then, sure it might cost a little bit more, but no oil lines have to enter cabin.
  22. I don't think you can beat the sound of a V8, sure turbo whistle and waste gate noises sound impressive, but V8's give that bulge in the pants (as they say). David
  23. I dont think that the ss iduction ones I got are all that greater colour match. Its Close, I think I might be being a bit too fussy. Not that I have installed them yet, engine recond by trade - hate auto elecy work with a passion!!!!!!! just not my thing. David
  24. th later the better, hopefully by then, I will have saved my pennys for a early christmas present for my self.
  25. Hi all, Engine Reconditioner.
