Hey guys, Put me down as well.. Althought I dont have massive power like some cars there, I'm interested in doing a base line run in my 5000km old XR6T.. I am running a tweaked 8psi tune to make sure I'm not "too slow" however Does anyone know what the 8psi capa (automatic) tune run ?? Danny.

Yeah that's right.. On initial checking that website, I expected there was other sizes.. but yeah, the one I used width was perfect, height was bigger, but hidden behind.. Althought, the IR Reciever above needs "modification" for it to fit. Danny.

Parts cost approx $350ish .... I have to source another supplier.. Althought, The touchscreen is only for the CAR PC.. rather than for the Ford radio / A/C Danny.

Damnit, I looked for ages for the Arcade VGA card, but because I couldn't find one I went for the next best thing. Needless to say, immediately after posting this, I will be ordering an Arcade VGA card. Thank you for your help, you've got no idea how much I have searched for this! Love the pictures of your carputer BTW That car pc is not mine, althought I have "near" identical hardware sitting here for mine. We used a vga -> composite 15khz convertor with decent results. since the motherboard we used is tiny, there is no AGP for the arcade vga card. its onboard. Hehe.. Well, I do own a Arcade VGA, however, this is what its used in ... http://dannyshosting.com/gallery/mame?page=3 although those pictures were taken before I recieved the card.. www.ozstick.com.au sells the card here in victoria.. (Speak to Chris).. Also, In terms of power, I have what they call a M1-ATX power supply. http://www.mp3car.com/store/product_info.p...&products_id=67 it has full 6volt to 24volt input range (yes, pc will not brownout when cranking to start engine).. It will also turn on, and turn off your pc based on a Ignition input (you could use the Remote Power from your head unit as I've done in the past). Although its only 90 watt, there is also a 160watt version.. these are not designed for P4 based processors, but rather VIA based EPIA Boards.. Everything you would want is at www.mp3car.com's forums Ohh, and just so you know, I am also able to convert the Ford ICC to touchscreen (but its expensive to do so...) But.. Just to tease you a little Danny.

As well as changing shift feel between the 3 different modes (Adp, Perf, and Sequential), Us tuners are also able to change the shift at high or low driveshaft speeds... Confused? Let me explain.. Each shift sequence ramps between 2 rows of tables.. ones for low driveshaft rpm (crusing around), and ones for high driveshaft rpm (heaps of pedal). So If the car shifts at low rpm (low driveshaft speed), you can maintain factory shift feel. However, when your hooning, the auto will change gears later on in the rpm range(high driveshaft speed), you can make it change harder. I have tuned alot of cars this way.. and the customers love it.. They dont need to change to Perf mode to get harder shifts, they just boot it Danny.

As well as needing a combined H+V Sync, the Monitor is only 15khz, Not 30khz like normal PC monitors.. A simple method would be to purchase a "Ultimarc ArcadeVga" http://www.ultimarc.com/avgainf.html or get a convertor which converts to CGA (yes, cga). as Cga supports 15khz sync. Yeah, Installation is no problem for me.. How much adjustment do you have in ride hight... Ie Min -> max drop is approx how much MM from standard.. Do you know? Danny.

Well, the General consensis I get is get Kings SSL on the back, and Kings SL on the fronts.. What about shockers.. Do I use existing ones? or do they come as a package? I have 19" advantage chile's I'm possibly gonna put on. but that aint gonna happen until I lower her. Not sure if I want SSL on the front or SSSL on the back... My driveways a killer. I like the Adjustable Pedders job.. whats that $900 for the fronts only ?? Thanks guys.. Danny.

Thanks guys.. I've carried on the 19's from my previous car, so that will go on once I've lowered it (I cant stand seeing big rims with standard ride height). So, XR6T8_U, Have you got a combination of Super lows, and Super super lows on yours? I'm presuming the Super super lows are in the back ??? Danny.

Hi Guys, Just took ownership of a Ex demo MK2 BA Vibe turbo.. Loving it. Its bad enough driving customers cars you just tuned when you dont have a turbo yourself.. Anyways.. This baby needs lowering... Who did you use? Pedders? How low did you go? 2" drop? Super lows? How much did you pay (for lowering + wheel allignment) And, Have you got a picture so I can see. Hi Guys.. This guy I've known for years has always tried to be better than me.. Previously, He had a AU 6 cylinder, And I have my AU XR8. Without a doubt, he always tried to make his car better than mine.. I personally didnt care. Now without speaking to him for years, he starts talking to me again(remind me to clean my msn list up), and telling me about his new xr6turbo.. I was at work the first time, and didnt really pay attention to him. This morning he comes online again, So I decided to question more about this so called xr6 turbo of his... The previous conversation we had, he mentioned he spent $6400 @ JM Motorsport. On what. I'm not sure.. I know he did mention Twin Exhaust out the rear bumper bar. Anyways, Here is this mornings conversation.. But its a thought worth to ponder on engines such as the XR8 and GT/GTP Boss engine.. Imagine the Awsome twin throttle body setup you could do. From a electronics standpoint.. The Blackoak module does not allow a second throttle body on it. However I do imagine you could somehow "slave" the second Throttle bodie's motor to the firsts... Who knows more about these? Are they simply stepper motors ? Danny

no. Rather than saying "Self Learning" indicating it will remember it for later. Closed Loop would be a better way of describing the PI Controller. Its constantly Monitoring the boost levels and adjusting to suit the requested boost table. In this closed loop system. the wastegate valve will attempt to get the desired boost requested. However, It will switch to open loop and command a wastegate duty cycle instead if the boost is under/over boosting by a "error" amount. Ie, If the turbo is underboosting by more than x PSI than requested, it will set the duty cycle of the wastegate to 1 (fully closed). and if its overboosting by more than x PSI, it will set the duty cycle of the wastegate to 0 (fully open). You can however choose not to use the PI Controller, and use Duty Cycle alone.. But that's almost like a Electronic version of the screwdriver adjusted bleed valve. Danny.
