  1. What? I thought he tuned your bmx ... So well infact you lost KG's cos you had to pedal great success !!
  2. If your running the same boost / duty tables as Simons, and the boost is different may be due to a few things the wastegate spring may be rated the same psi, but the tollerance is way off, so the spring could need more duty in the program. Is the external gate plumbed back into the exhaust or is it a screamer? What differences do you have in the exhaust system to simons? I've also noticed that exhaust systems make a difference in boost control. Without knowing what boost settings are defined, the PI controller should be able to bring the boost closer to the desired boost by adjusting the duty based from the duty table.. BUT This may not be done as 22psi might be out of the scope of the pcm's map sensor so straight duty cycle boost control maybe the only way.. I've never tried controlling this much boost to know if this is the case or not.

  12. in vic, the law stands for 3 years from the first offence.. either way I got my car back today.. no damage, no KM's on the ODO.. although the centre cap from the front left wheel is missing... considering the dust in there, I think I overlooked that on the night.. (heck it was dark)... The guys there gave me details on where to send it in writing, and they will investigate.. When I speak to the copper about my summons, I'm going to get him to look at the photos he took to confirm if it was there or not.. Daniel

  14. its 48 hours, then 3 months, then goneeeeeeeee on the 3rd offense here in vic.. sure, he could have let me off, but heck, he caught me doing whats illegal, his a honest cop, he was doing his job by the book, which I consider very fair.. Like I said, I'm not here to bitch, im here just educating my experiances with the rest of the forum.... although its 48 hours due to public holidays, it'll be wednesday morning.. Never mind, 1 day nearly gone... a few more to come.. Maybe I'll just lock myself up and play BF2142 all weekend Dan

  16. Every time a cop pulls someone over, they do a attitude test within the first few minutes of the conversation, ask any cop. they will behave according to the lip you give them. Out of the numerious times I have been pulled up, there was only one cop that gave me lip, and lets just say, he didnt like the extra paperwork he had to do once I complained. edit: if you ever have a problem with the way you are delt with, email your complaint here. ethical.standards@police.vic.gov.au "The Police Conduct Unit is responsible for actioning compliments and complaints about behaviour of members of Victoria Police."
  17. That as the goal of my post.. I have every confidence that my car will be exactly the same condition, and the ODO shouldnt have ticked over 1km as well. You get these impressions in your head that the cars get trashed etc when they get parked etc, but the copper reassured me, this was not the case. The lots run by non police members, but there is police watch at all times. Unsure if I am going to get some legal aid or represent myself, the cop is going to call me when the summons paperwork is ready, and he suggested I come in, and discuss it with him, what will happen on the day etc. very professional and helpful. Something I found real funny was that, he was telling me about this dude who had his car impounded, and when he went to pick it up, he dropped another one on his way out.. Lets just say that there was no towtruck costs in his $470 fine
  18. exactly, I've got one less worry about my car being damaged in the impound due to how professional the 2 cops, and the tow truck driver were.
  19. Yeah that's what I thought at first, it was almost a proud explanation... But losing your car like this for a number of days and a $470 buck fine, not nice at all. It was either headsex or me sending this message, I'm gonna have to start taking it easy from here on, I don't want the same. ← Believe me buddy, I'm not proud of this what so ever.. Due to the inconveniance of having no car, I cannot go and meet with my family for christmas.. I was never for these hoon laws to begin with, but whats done is done, I'm coping it on the chin. Main reason I posted it here was to tell everyone of my experiance with this.. No doubt I was not the first, nor will I be the last member on this forum to get my car impounded. $470 to release the car, and summons for court with more possibly fines / loss of licence / demerit points..
  20. Just had my car impounded tonight due to the hoon laws.. Not trying to flame the 2 cops who pulled me over, as they were total gentleman about it.. Had a mates mate in the car, wanted to know what a ba turbo went like.. went to servo to get smokes for a few other guys, and when I pulled out, I nailed it.. being wet, it didnt take much for it to break traction. Although it didnt step out, the noise was a dead give away what was going on.. Anyways, it was just so be it the cops were about to pull into the same servo. Based on the layout of the streets, there was no way I could have spotted them. They didnt see me, they only heard me, followed me and saw it. Anyways, they pulled me up, asked me why I was doing what I did.. I told them honestly I was mearly showing this dude how the car went, he said that was fine until it broke wheelspin.. Now before anyone asks, I kept my foot in it.. so it wheelspun for some time.. He said he will radio back, explaining the situation and see if his authorised to tow it.. 20 mns later comes back and said yep, we're impounding your car for 48 hours. with-in 20 mins, a tow truck had arrived, during that time, the 2 police officers went over the car with me, checked for any damage what so ever, even took photos of all 4 sides, and signed off that the vehicle had no damage. Obviously just incase the car gets damaged in the impound. Whilst we was doing this, he also allowed me to flash a valet tune into the car, but said he will garentee the car will not be driven more than 100metre's.. only to park it in the lot. He even wrote down any modifications that can be removed in the lot, ie, stereo's, subs etc.. things not bolted to the car.. When the towtruck came, I was rather concerned about my front bar being damaged. the tilt tray had ramp extentions which was put under the front wheels, and the tray was leveled up to prevent it from hitting. The tow truck driver ALSO took some photos of the front bar, and rear bar just incase he damages it. Overall, I am highly inconvenianced by these hoon laws, 48 hours its impounded for, but due to public holidays, I wont have it until wednesday morning. It will cost me $470 to release the car, and I'll have a sumons to goto court in the new year. The 2 police officers were gentlemen about the whole situation, explained everything to me and even gave me a few pointers on what to expect in court. After seeing all the effort they went with me into car damages, I feel hell of a lot more secure that my car is goign to be taken care of, and he assures any damges done after the towtruck leaves is totally covered. I've learnt by my mistake, and high inconvenianced by this especially over christmas, But, read this and dont do the same thing yourself.. Also, please keep this thread clean and save the flaming to yourself.. Danny
