  2. As I'm relient on using Mario's dyno after hours, its upto him when its available.. Im just awaiting a phone call to know exactly which night we're putting his car, and a few others on.. Danny.

Just as I have done with YPURV4's box.. went over the valet tune (might as well use the hpf tunes as valet one.. ) but yeah, the drag thing back to back is a good comparison, of power at WOT.. if one tune is faster doesnt mean its going to be the best one to drive, HOWEVER I have spent many months building a good combination of knowledge of drivability tuning on my own vehicle prior to touching anyone else's car.. I believe I have come to a very good all rounder. brilliant to drive every day, with smooth and strong power delivery throught out the entire rpm range, and good fuel economy (if yuor not on it all the time), with good top end power as well(for all you dyno queers who only see the big number at the top of the graph). im sure mike will give some feedback on the light pedal, everyday driving with my tune comparison to his hpf tune, and even the XEDE tune

  6. Yes. Scaling injectors isn't anywhere near as hard as people think. If you know the approx size of the injector you go from there.. A lot of people have troble getting the lo slope right. Mikes had approx 10% richer low slope based on the ltft and stft's I logged, but the pcm adjusts that within a 25% window, so it doesn't show rich with the wideband sniffer. Another thing.. Ask mike how long it took me to tune his car to get already better results.. 1 hour tops?? And only flashed his car 3 times. Admittingly his car has simple mods

I have no doubt mikes car will make over 300rwkw, marios dyno is rumoured to be tight, however we will do a back to back run of the 2 tunes 'before' I fine tune his topend to really see the difference. I have 4 cars to tune so there might not be much talking but never the less 5 minutes is wasted flashong these cars.. That day at nizpro I felt was very rewarding, as simon also said they don't compliment people. Simon and dave were also muttering making power ontop of what mine was making back then will be hard, but never the less, 9.5 psi instead of 8.5psi with 2 degrees less timing and power jumped from 222rwkw to 240rwkw. Shows what 1 psi does if done properly.. All with std injectors and afr starting to move upto 12.5afr at top end. But.. A lot has changed since then.. Especially the way I do boost control. I do owe a lot of thanks to the guys at nizpro, although my knowledge of the pcm is like second nature, I still had a lot to learn about the xr6t engine. And although nizpro didn't tell me what to do, they still pointed me in the right direction. Dave also did say I would be wasting my money coming to the nizpro training course, however did mention there was a advanced one coming up, which sounds initeresting.. But never the less this is one major reason why I have a nizpro cobra kit on my engine. It works!
  9. Sure dude I could look at it, but got for a drive in mikes.. Infact see if he'll let you drive it so you have a comparison to yours.. Not talking about jumping in and flogging it, drive light throttle, medium throttle and compare the smoothness and the power it makes comparied to yours. That's worth more than the big number at the top at the top of a dyno graph. A dyno will never show this. As I've said before a dyno does not show the drivability of a car on the road, it only shows WOT power. Mikes first comment before he nailed it was 'fark its smoother accelerating' When we put mikes on the dyno sometime this week, I will focus on tuning 5000rpm to 6000rpm, as this is the only region that counts when giving a big dyno power number. All this done without peaking the boost past15psi. Let us know what ya think when you drive his car Danny.

Look at the column "SPARK ADVANCE", 6 - 8 degree's timing, not enough timing for the boost it was making, I pulled the boost down to a more realiable 15psi, and obviously put more timing into it, and well.. Mike will tell you by his "seat of the pants" feel he has until we put it onto the dyno this week sometime.. danny.

  15. This is what exactly makes or breaks a workshop.. You would think because Mike was public about this, they'd pull their finger out of it more and get some decent results.. I guess it just shows how competant some workshops are. Interesting about the 20" rims making less power.. Given that situation, Johns car must make 350rwkw if its making 330rwkw at the treads.. Was that a actual back to back run? your 17's and your 20's? It may sound stupid, but maybe something to do with the height of your car.. lower puts more angle into the CV's... interesting thing to ponder there (not that wheel size changes that) danny.
