    Yeh, the yterra whipple is just too small... This ones not as big as the 3.2litre kb however at 2.4 its a decent size..

    Nice, Reminds me of a mid mounted turbo 3v ghia I tuned Always been a fan of boosted v8's, best of both worlds.. But its gotta be turbo :D, or maybe a positive displacement now that I've actually played with one...

    Nice one, ill keep the belt thing in mind.. Had one 2 nights ago, althought we couldn't tune it due to a fuel system problem. Bugger though, its was a built engine also would have been nice to see what we could get out of it.. Without worring about what will let go when... This was a v2 kit also.. The original slippy one was a v1 vortech.. 10.* is pretty rich, I usually tune around the 12.0 area Yeah, it will be very interesting to see. I can't wait.. Im a bit hesitant in pushing the revs up on a std bottom end anyways.. I remember reading about a 4.6 cobra engine boosted to 22psi running 9's in a fox body... that was like 5 years ago... totally stock engine too, I believe there were a lot of disbelivers. It only popped from memory due to the higher rev limit introduced later..

    One of the capa kits made 302rwkw on 6psi on a 290kw engine.. With full di fillipo exhaust made 345rwkw But... belt slipping sucked arse bad.. Yeah his going with di fillipo on it.. I think we can get close to 400... the blowers good for it, but is the engine?? He said he even was going put billet oil pump drive in it.. To rev it more.... but rods? Pistons? Both Std. How much can they be pushed stock?

    Sure.. But in comparison.. Mario says LS1's only get around the 300 mark stock standard.. Mario was quite surprised in the timing the boss was taking compared to the ls1's.. obviously the boss has less comp ratio than the ls1's.. Behind the vehicle on the dyno, you could really tell as the revs went up the exhaust restriction did play a part in choking it.. When he gets the car back and we put a clutch in it, we're gonna continue, and see how more timing it will take.. I some how think we are pretty close to the edge.. However in saying that mario is also throwing a full exhaust system on it also, and I think there is at least a high 300 in it..

    Sad? 10psi on a totally stock xr8 right down to the exhaust. Timing wise, we got to around 20degrees at wot before the clutch started failing.. We still havent finished playing with it.. I do have a dyno graph, but I dont have permission to post it at this point. nup.. words not out

    Well... Lets just say, When we get the xr8 back, a new upgraded clutch will be fitted (killed the std one suprise surprise).. and some real world testing will be done.. I believe the blower is approx 2.3 or 2.4l, and yeah.. it makes that annoying noise you speak off.. although, I am starting to like it I'll have to ask to see if I can disclose more information or not.. Heck I dont know alot about it at the moment as its a new blower in their range.. Danny. Remembering its still under development

    I have not tuned a Supercharger without a intercooler.. Various combos I've tuned.. 1) Capa supercharged kit with the water/air setup 2) Capa supercharged kit with the air/air setup 3) *unnamed* positive displacement blower with in manifold water/air setup No 3, will be marketed as a drive in / drive out kit for around the 10k mark.. that's supply blower, intercooler setup, injectors, tuned etc.. Given the power it makes, and how it makes it, I believe its going to be very successful.. And personally I've fallen in love with it.. (no .. not enough to sell my xr6t and get a boss..)

    I Tuned a BF XR8 Blown with a Positive Displacement Blower a few weeks ago.. Cannot name the company at this point, but I'm sure some people will have few idea's.. Due to be released early next year Power wise.. 349rwkw on 10psi boost... On A totally stock BF XR8 boss... Put a exhaust on it, and I'm sure there's more in it. Oh, and power at 110km/h, 250rwkw... Totally different power delivery.. Centrifical makes power up the top.. Positive displacement will punch torque out from the word go.. I've tuned both centrifical and PD.. and on a V8, the PD sure wins my love.. An yeah.. a PD on a Boss will sure give a xr6t a run for its money... Centrifical? yeh maybe.. LOL

  22. Hi Guys.. Been wanting to organise something like this for a long time... a Super Super cruize.. a LONG cruise.. When: Dec 23rd 2007.. Christmas Eve - Eve Start point: <to be determined> Cruise to: Portsea Hotel?? Time: 3pm? 5pm? Anyways, Meeting point yet to be determined (open to ideas), and cruze down to Portsea.. and say goto the portsea pub for a meal or drink or something.. Anyways.. Let me know whos interested, and offer suggestions about Start time, and meeting point.. If we get enough car's... we'll go ahead with it.. Danny.

  24. Although its tuned in closed loop control, it still uses the duty table as a forward feed. Due to the massive restriction difference with the flap op and shut, the PI Controller doesnt catch the boost coming on quick enough, And it overshoots the desired 15psi upto and onwards of 17psi. however "IF" you kept into it(which we are not going to do..), the boost would taper back to the desired boost of 15psi higher in the revs.
