  1. Danny says: hey man I dont think we can do it this weekend TUFPV says: what TUFPV says: I hope your full bullsh*tting me TUFPV says: pls Danny says: :D TUFPV says: smartass
  2. Expensive? Yes and no.. The bolt on difference a supercharge kit does to a V8 is amazing. the LS1 boys have been doing this for years.. @ Autotechnique, they do countless blower installations, so many so I've lost count. They absolutely love them. This is the New Harrop kit, I had first hand experiance with Harrops white BF XR8 tuning it with Mario at Autotechnique back some time ago when it was still in development. I believe, this will be the first FG it will go on. Robbie Herrod dummy fitted this to his FG I believe, but it was never started/tuned/etc as the kit was not a direct fit to the FG, bu rather BA/BF. There are a few alterations/changes Herrod did to this kit.
  3. I know christian isnt going to like to hear this, But 350rwkw is the goal. Considering this boss engine pings on as little timing as it had, it will be interesting to see how much timing we end up with when its got boost
  4. who else? hehe his car is already tuned by me. it hasnt even got 3000 on the clock yet.. Interesting how ford tuned these BOSS's.. knock sensors already pulling 2 degree's of timing out at WOT.. turn knock sensors off, and she pings.. They struggled to get power out of these new 315kw boss engines, that's for sure..
  5. Have a look whats sitting in my garage with TUFGSR's name all over it...
  6. Well.. im sure dealership sponsering is out of the question?? I've figured, its pointless putting that motor in unless I have a bigger turbo ready and or this one goes bang...
  7. I'm open for sponsorship.. haha :D money doesn't grown on trees in my backyard.. does yours?
  8. That would involve requiring a T51R and a C-Series 3 speed!
  9. 60lb siemens, Crow valve springs, plenum, intercooler, airbox, 12psi actuator, wastegate ported, xforce 4"dump -> twin 2.5" exhaust, 2800rpm convertor
  10. Anyways, I'd like to give special thanks to Heath(MYWPN) and his mate Pete for helping me out on the day. Much appreciated getting told "You were soo close" and then handed the timeslip which had 10.90 on it.
  11. Yeah I know.. Although their calendar does show Friday Nov 14th listed as Legal off street drags
  12. he runs a external fuel Reg.. it looks like a modified standard fuel rail to me.. I believe he runs a C series 3 speed box as well
  13. im still cleaning up your stains...
  14. bouncing off the rev limitor in 1st doesnt help I picked up 5 mph when it cooled off. From 122mph on my first run, to nearly 127mph on my 10.90 I suspect the heat killed us all!
  15. Yeh well. I wasnt going to come, because me grandpa is in hospital.. but things were looking better there.. So yeah
  16. yeah. Its the same tune since the last calder outting when I could only manage a 11.17
  17. it would be pretty boring wheelspinning standard start to 100km/h (in a 100 zone of course)... haha cos even with the ET Streets, there's no traction on the street
  18. Well, I am crossing the line in 3rd at approx 6300rpm.. Taller gearing might help :D I try holding 3rd so it doesnt shift to 4th crossing the line
  19. after that.. next mod? maybe a GT42.. given that blueboost has shown the BA engine can hold together for a 10.40 pass... Either way, I'm not fussed.. a 10 second pass in street trim on pump fuel was always my goal..
  20. well, I'm gonna do it again at calder.. But as for what I do now, I'd need to change to a 15psi actuator possibly, during the day I'm pegging 100% duty on the wastegate, and its only getting 16.5psi or so.. during the night, it only needs about .85 duty to get 18 odd psi or so.. had I had a standard wastegate port, it would likely hold higher boost as it wouldnt be able to bypass enough via the wastegate.. but you dont get precise boost control that way. Yeah, I've still got my old brakes before I switched to the brembos.. What size rim do I need for a 28" slick? and yeah, I know I need crossply front runners.. Dont wanna end up in the wall running the full slick..
  21. Yeh, come 8pm, my car had been sitting for about 2 hours since the run at 6pm, and it was quite cool, although the plenum still had heat in it. So I grabbed the bag of ice on it for about 20 minutes to try cool it down.. I still never got it real cold. It was still warm to touch.
  22. Thanks Mick, I was offered from 28" full slicks, and front runners (provided they fit over my brembos), so I might be limited because I'm unable to put 15or 16's on the back
  23. Here's a picture Luke just sent me..
  24. Yeh.. I replaced them with AU ones again.. When I pulled my last AU ones out, I was shocked, it was only 1 tooth broken off.. the first BA set made a total mess of the box in comparison to this.. so yeah.. Bag of ice on the plenum. Dico2020 also ran his car, he was very disapointed, and disappeared to his cabin with mates for drinks at like 3pm.. His running a process west plenum, and man, I couldnt keep my hand on his plenum for more than a couple of seconds.. It was damn hot!
