  1. Gee.. Looks like Pit lane out voted the "other" workshop here..
  2. are Mal Woods CV's stronger than standards? or are they just standard ones? Able to shed some more light on them if they are different? The CV Cage and star knuckle I have found and ordered looks very promising! They are made out of stronger material than the ford stuff. Although I have not opted for the shafts made out of 300m, that might be a upgrade further down the track!
  3. oh.. and the list.. please manually add yourself 1. Headsex
  4. Ok. official date is Sunday the 7th of December. Need to decide on meet Place and time! keep the idea's flowing in!
  5. Station peir is big, but not that big.. especially when 90% of car parks are taken!
  6. last year, we met up at station peir.. But personally given the amount of free carparks, I think we need to find something better.. one that quickly comes to mind is there's a bunnings in port melbourne.. BUT im open to suggestions on a starting point! And about the date.. Can people give suggestions, and we'll have a lil vote on it. or see who agree's to which sunday in december?

  9. him? who's doing your cv's for you? Yes, but nizpro only do cv's for nizpro customers.. you got a auto or a manual, and what power level? danny
  10. interestingly enough, today in doing some research, I came across a company who makes Ball Cages and inner knuckles for our BA CV's.. This is the 2 major components that break, the inner knuckle gets a crack in it, opens up and chews the spline out. the ball cage breaks, and drops all the ball bearings.. Will keep ya's posted when I get my set!
  11. Whats a CC ? Anyways, Since you've volunteer'd, please start a new thread "December cruise to Rye"
  12. I'm thinking a Sunday will be good for all of us.. Myself included
  13. Welcome to the forums I'll start a new thread this evening at home for a christmas cruise to Rye
  14. how did you get the broken spline out? remove the other cv and push it from the other side??
  15. Thanks, couldnt find it myself.. Seems it broke differently from the other 2 I've seen.. they were actually broken at the shaft, where it steps down prior to spline for the inner cv..
  16. Snapped a shaft yes? The CV's are actually stronger, but the shafts are weaker from what I've seen
  17. yeh. makes sense.. didnt you have CBC ones at one point?
  18. CV? Please explain? did you break a original, or a cbc one?
  19. ok So the Rye cruise / lunch / photo shoot whos interested.. And votes for when(december??)
  20. And yes.. After lunch, we can go get some good photos if anyone knows any good locations that can support the number of vehicles attending!
  21. Last year, we actually ended up in the RYE pier car park.. Usually (not sure when) there is a festival with rides going on to the left of the car park.. http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=q&hl=...&iwloc=addr but as you can see there is AMPLE car park (although with a cheap parking fee of a couple of bucks for a number of hours). Not sure of the availability of public BBQ's there, I think I do recall something.. But across the main strip there is a number of food places, fish / chips.. But yeah, the idea of bringing a bbq or 2 (anyone got something portable?) might be the type of meet we get fish n chips on rugs in the park area.. Let me know if there is a interest, and I'll start a new thread..
  22. I still like the idea of a "nice summers day cruise to rosebud/rye" and have bbq there.. Or fish n chips! A number of us did it last year and it was unreal!!
  23. It hasnt made it back to the dyno, We only changed to the 6psi pulley yesterday, and I removed christians 4000rpm limit (ohh he hated that.. lol) and made sure spark and afr was all good. Straight off the factory floor, these 315kw GT Motors pull 2degree's timing via the knock sensors. With the knock sensors disabled, the engines actually ping.. With the factory gains, the pcm is only ever pulling 0.5 degree of timing if anything, given that, there's still room for extra timing, but that wont be done until it hits the dyno. Power wise, it would only be a guestimate. But based on how it pulls, I'd say its passed the 300rwkw mark. When it hits the dyno, we'll see how far we can push timing with the 6psi pulley. There are 2 other spare pulleys we are going to try, based on this one we've put on, we suspect its 8psi, and 10psi (plus the original 12psi one, which struggled to make 300rwkw because of the lack of timing we could put into the already high 10.8:1 compression engine)
