  2. It works if you run them lean up top, but they could also be using the "better" 044 pump.. Not sure of part number, but they have more in them.

  5. The 4 speed is holding up quite well. Ivans had more problems with the smaller diameter convertor if anything. It was built prior to becoming a bayswater auto customer. I think Leigh (ETM) ran quicker with a std turbo. Although it was mounted on a ETM high mount manifold, and Ute had a 2 speed powerglide. Mark Hamilton ran a 10.47 with I believe standard turbo, although the vehicle was heavily weight reduced. Ivan had extra weight.. LOL Mattress in the tub!. So Brian, you might be right, he might be quickest std turbo. Unless someone else can inform us otherwise.

  7. That will only turn a light on and off.. Not useful to hook up a aftermarket tacho.
  8. The problem with these cars, and any aftermarket shiftlight is they DO NOT WORK correctly. Ecliptech Shift-I "Sort of" works, as it wires into the fuel injector.. Problem is when you decel, the injector stops injecting. thus is looses its RPM single (when the engine is winding down from 6000rpm to say 2000rpm).. This is why I created the interface box, which plugs directly into the CAN BUS, and watches the RPM messages from the PCM to the Dash, which occurs every 20ms.. Regardless what RPM it is. I've only created 3 units (the minimum PCB's required for the order), the firmware took a few hours to create, and once I finish the sleep mode, I will be testing a few more. Problem I have is, I could get more PCBs made, but as it is Surface mount components, its a absolute bitch to hand assemble. If I was to do a production run of this, I would need to commit to at least 500 for a company to pick/place this for me. Currently the RPM output pulse is only 1pulse per RPM, which the shift-I can be configured for. However, 5" monster tachos need either 2, 3, or 4 pulses per RPM (4cyl, 6, and . So I've incorporated 2 dip switches into the design ,and need to test this also. On another note. I've sniffed the can bus of a VE commodore, and identified the RPM message there. So I can support VE Late model camira as well.. (Do not know any earlier Late model camira owners to verify if this message is present on earlier) As for making / Selling more of these? Depends on demand, which seems high. But my importance with this is if I can support multiple vehicle types, as each vehicle has its own specific message.

  10. Don't accept the value they first give you. You negotiate with them. My gf managed to get another 4 grand on top of what they first offered her when her car was written off.. And we're talking from $2500, to $6500.. Not 20k to 24k.. They will always try to low ball you regardless if its market value or not.
  11. Nope.. fact computer is capable.. I can even make a BA/BF auto fart during gear shift like the FG does =) I can even turn the fart off on the FG Autos.

  13. PCV only works off boost.. The hose in the middle of the rocker cover that goes to turbo intake might be blocked. Otherwise. How many KM old is the car? Tuned? Could be any number of the suggestions above.. more pointing to piston damage.

  18. Both? lol Wouldn't go that fair.. I don't have the grey hairs! :D In all seriousness, This stuff is somewhat basic. Torque control on the Ford PCM seems to be the most confused topic of all tuners I've spoken to.
