  1. Notice I've also mounted the plugs for the injectors downwards.. No ugly injector wires!! (except cyl 1.. I kinda couldnt rotate it once I installed the rail because of the engine lift bracket. But im pulling the std engine out shortly so when I re-install it all, I'll fix it then) The guage is perm installed, and yes, the fuel reg is adjustable from the top side of the engine bay, and the gauge is clearly visible. it still sits below the plenum, lucky for me, I didnt go too high in the fuel reg position on the surge tank, as it would have hit the plenum. Strategic measuring I call it... it went something along the lines of this.. "Ahhhh I think it will be perfect ..... HERE" Im still running 4bar base. But I've got a bit of a tune issue at the moment I'm trying to sort out with the Load and fueling.....
  2. I might bring my bucket instead =)
  3. There's a water fitting on the passenger side of the motor that needs to be blocked with a grub screw of the associated size if its not going into a FG body. Other than that, everything else bolts up. 350rwkw is the norm for stock bottom ends. Personally whilst you've got it at this stage, invest in a set of conrods.. Spool for instance.. This would be the cheapest time to get them fitted. Keep the standard pistons to save money, they seem to handle a sh*t load more power than the conrods do, that's for sure.
  4. Yeh well pass my thanks onto 6boost The Process west fuel rail has 3x -8 fittings(one on each end, and in the center) I've got a pump each going to each side of the fuel rail (-6), and the center -6 to the fuel reg. So yeah, I've got my fueling under control now.. Its much better now that its not leaning up with 20+psi now ;D And personally, I love fuel pump noise... It tells me they are working :D
  5. Oh.. and rubber mount the fuel pumps? Pff.. You suggesting I sit down whilst I pee? :D
  6. Well.. After a busy saturday afternoon, this is what I've come to.. And last but not least I have controlable fuel now with the 2 fuel pumps and the Turbosmart FPV1200 -6 Reg!
  7. What you mean... YOu didnt like my "cable tied" secondary fuel pump? lol.. I was waiting for a second Fuel pump mount at the time, so Cable tie was the only option :D it was actually quite secure. The previous setup with both fuel pumps feeding into the factory fuel rail was a test to see if the factory reg could handle it.. It didnt, I had immediately started purchasing related fuel components.. Anyways, Rail is fitted.. It was a pain to fit, but it just fit with the nizpro plenum.. The Dipstick being the main culprit.
  8. Hahaha.. Hey Spiko, Can you explain why they paint the ports prior to porting? Is this some kinda "guide coat" so to speak? You can see where his mark the port to port match it to the manifolds
  9. Hey Spiko... You inspired me to do this... Which will hook upto this.... But yeah.. Big thanks for the picture of your surge tank at the start of this.. I was wondering where/how the hell I'm going to mount my fuel reg, and your surge tank showed me the way.
  10. 350rwkw seems to be the norm.. if your after 400+ go down the route in building one.
  11. FG F6 Rods and pistons look the same as previous bf2 xr6/f6 rods/pistons. I can't comment on the FG XR6T stuff however, But if they have identical part numbers, that's your answer.
  12. hahah that's what you should be doing to your superiour!
  13. Finding out what tables I changed using a "sniper" is painful as well.. chances are his missed at least 30 tables I've manipulated.. LOL Sniper lacks a "compare" function to see what tables are changed..
  14. Having my tunes.. And understanding how to utilise them are 2 different things, I'm sure you can understand
  15. Upstairs?? What you talking about. I'm his boss!
  16. I felt like thta last friday night
  17. For the record. A number of years ago when I put my car on that dyno, it showed 377rwkw.. When I know my car only made 319rwkw.. You work it out.
  18. Yeah I know.. What was that noise yours was making?
  19. Maybeeeeeeeeee Maybe nottttt I had her up on a hoist for the first time the other weekend, So lets just say.. Its coming in for warentee work, as well as a service.. :D Only minor stuff...... Drivers side front CV or Steering Rack leak (its maybe both.. Both wet and greecy), Drivers side rear CV (greece everwhere), Water/Oil Cooler leaking coolant.... And some else I cant think of at the moment...
  20. Yeah put me down I'll be there in my Unmarked cop car...
  21. but it revs to 12000rpm, so that's sick
