  5. Sorry mate. my comment was quoting *Beep*'s refrence to inflyt Anyways, How come you went down the path of aftermarket ECU? its not like we dont have the technology to flash tune these.. a number of workshops have gone down that path, and well.. end result was no longer a street car.. bad cold starts, oh and you need a real cable for the accelerator pedal.. Fail =)
  6. He used to own a silver BA2 F6, now a Blue BF F6.. he works in kew

  9. Hey Guys, I'm flying up on the 16th of April to Gold Coast for the Australian Top Fuel Championship at Willowbank raceway. I'm part of Bill Kotsia's crew, who is a new comer to PRO Stock, although, I may also be giving Mike Nola a hand. I wouldn't mind catching up with any locals who are attending the event, or nearby later on for drinks (not sure where I'll be during the evenings, but things can be arranged!) Let me know who is nearby and or coming to the event! Danny.

    Racebrakes Pads

Nice choice.. and I agree totally, I would rather feel confident with good brakes, with dust and rotor wear.. thursday night ic ould have used it.. was driving a Brembo Equiped Lancer EVO 7, and well, Poor brake pads, real hard pedal. Much like the RB24's.. (dont know what pads are in the EVO, as it was a recent purchase). However, a set of Bendix SRT (street race track) series are going in. They are priced higher than the Ultimates, however, I do believe they are a awsome high performing all round pad.
  12. Yeh.. working on new comer Bill Kotsia's Pontiac prostock car.. I tell ya, I've never seen so much composite materials in a vehicle in my life.. Forget Sheet metal wheel tubs, its all carbon fibre! Its unreal, and probably doesnt weigh much =) I may also be helping out NZ star Mike Nola's Pro mod car.. has run 6.70 down the 1/4, but his got a fresh engine now.
  13. Bugger, I'm at QLD / Willowbank this weekend with a Prostock team.. Would have been a good opertunity to catchup

    Racebrakes Pads

Well, based on those rotor life numbers quoted, I should have gone the 74's, and my opinion may have been different. For a rotor to last 200k, the brake pad cant be too good, as good brakes need friction, and friction = wear..
  15. If that's monthly fee.. its definately more than what I hire my servers for.. (Yes. multiple servers.. lol)

    Racebrakes Pads

I guess at the end of the day, we all have different expectations on brake pads.. but yeah. Maybe his RB74 is better at cost of chewing disks..

    Racebrakes Pads

Well, these disks were machined original fords.. But in saying that, my mates were brand new 4000's (I think) and Haydns car was much the same...

    Racebrakes Pads

Nope, Brand new oil. The pedal goes hard, Not spongie.. Mate had them also, whole new set of disks, pads, oil... Went for a drive, a week later, he had ordered as set of Endless pads.. dropped them in, and much preferred them. I have no problems with Race Brakes, I just dont think the RB24 was the correct pad for me, Its a street pad yes, but it lacked the performance the original ford brembo setup had in comparison. But, As I said. It could be I'm asking too much of this pad. There is the RB74, which may be more comparable to the factory pad ford use in the brembo setup.

    Racebrakes Pads

With my brembo setup, I was running the factory pads.. Awsome setup out of the box, done 2 track days on them, and wow, next to no brake fade. Once it was time for replacement, I got new disks (original ford and no I didn't pay the stupid price), and RB24 pads... Brake Fade - Yes, after the first hard brake Brake Dust - No, they are very clean pad Brakes lasting ages - They seem to last much longer then the previous Would I get them again, Never. As soon as I installed them, and broke them in, it felt like I had factory Taxi brakes.. 1 good brake, and then fade! Ive been told there are RB74?? which are more of a race pad, which may be a closer match to what originally comes with the ford brembo setup. Increased braking at cost of pads and disks. But if you want Taxi performance, Go the RB24 pad.. If you want your brembos, or AP's to perform, maybe look at the lights of Bendix Ultimates (Very Dusty, but a hell of a good pad), or even the Ferodo 2500's which was $99 last time I checked for the 4 spot brembo pad.. Yes, I found out the price after I bought the RB24's, and then since found out its apparently the same pad that's re-badged in the brembo pad that ford uses.
  20. Fail on the drag racing maths James it wont mph that high
  21. Et's just failed that pass. Crept off as I was stalling up so I went for it.
  22. Well in closed loop yes the tune tries to adjust the boost as close as it can. There is only a window it will adjust. But that's also based on te forward feed if the wastegate duty cycle. On pump fuel I doubt I'll get anywhere close to a 1.4 60 foot just interested to see the 60 foot deference with the bigge turbo.
  23. Well it is running the same tune as before. Similar Boost. So I didn't expect much difference. 60 foots is what I'm interested in
