  1. Good to hear ya got it sorted. I need to do the rotors and pads on mine as well when time permits
  2. Clunking from the left front of the car when braking and turning. Pulled the arm out of the car to check and found front top arm bush torn completely. So I had no choice other than to replace all 4 top arm bushes. I wouldve prefered the black coloured whiteline replacement bushes but couldnt get them overnight (due to a supply issue at the time), so I just went with the redranger versions of the same bushes. Fitment was piss easy and I havnt noticed any increase in harshness etc over the stock rubber items.
  3. I bought them direct online from redranger. The whiteline version of the bushes are the same except they are black in colour instead of red
  4. I fitted the redranger nolothane top arm bushes to my F6. They have two voided slots in each bush which assists in keeping harshness to a minimum. Cost was about $65 supply only for them
  5. Oh and that part number is for the XR/FPV one which has the "pin hole" type leather on the top as well as around the lever whereas the G6E version has smooth leather on the top with pin hole leather around the outside.
  6. The whole 6speed auto shifter knob with boot is about $70 from Ford. I just replaced mine cos I got thinners on it from my hands (it stripped the colour out) Part number of the shifter knob is 8R2Z7210 BA "Lever Trans"
  7. Yeah still happening on the mk2 models. I did the wire swap for my neighbours dads new G6E ecoboost last friday.... He was gobsmacked at how much better his 60's and 70's rock music now sounds.
  8. When I had my G6ET I put a low km auto BF GT LSD diff assembly in it. It bolted straight in with no dramas.
  9. a few more pics of my F6, lowered on Kings SSL springs allround
  10. Needs a 4" turboside intake and a hoist tune to fix that date issue
  11. Your close. I live out towards flaxley and only one of those pics was taken in mt barker
  12. Yes. Whys that?
  13. Cant go wrong with a Vixen red F6..... but then I guess im a little bit biased (although I did actually want white when I first started looking for a F6 late last year)
  14. Ok here is a list of 5 BA-FG's that can go in this list. 3 are cars I own/have owned and 2 are owned by relatives of mine. I'll start with my cars: Model: FPV FG F6 Year: 2010 Build month: November Trans Type: ZF Auto Camber adjusment: Yes Model: FG G6E Turbo Year: 2008 Build month: July Trans Type: ZF Auto Camber adjusment: No Model: BF XR6 Turbo Year: 2007 Build month: May Trans Type: 6 speed Manual Camber adjusment: No My Dads: Model: BA XR6 Turbo Year: 2002 Build month: November Trans Type: 5 Speed Manual Camber adjusment: Yes My Cousins: Model: FPV FG F6 Year: 2010 Build Month: March Trans Type: ZF Auto Camber adjustment: Yes
  15. Also I will add that my dads November 2002 built BA XR6T that he bought brand new has adjustable top rear control arms from the factory, where as my old 2007 BF XR6T did not. In regards to my current F6, my cousins 2010 built F6 sedan that we just fitted Koni struts/shock as well as set of SSL springs to also has adjustable top rear control arms from the factory (he also bought this car brand new)
  16. My FG F6 has adjustable camber on the top arms.... I bought the car brand new so obviously they were factory fitted.
  17. Probably sh*t like alot of high priced street tyres and yours being the runflat versions they have even harder sidewalls so wouldnt "bag" out at all under acceleration launch load.
  18. Ive put the non run flat versions of the V103's on my F6 and I love them especially once they are scrubbed in. I dont use them for any drag racing stuff, I bought them for cornering/wet weather grip etc (I live in the hills). Noise wise they are a sh*tload better than the dunflops that are standard fitment on current FPV's
  19. Happy Birthday Smackers XR6T!

  20. Just fit a LSD like I did in my old G6ET.
  21. Yeah engine/tune wise my F6 is still stock. I have done suspenion work though. Purchase price and fuel economy wasnt really a factor in buying the F6, as I had just sold my nicely modded EVO X which was crap on fuel LOL. Main reason for buying a large car is I wanted something roomy and still quick for when I want to go for a sunday morning blast... The much better fuel economy is just a bonus, although insurance is higher with the F6 compared to my old modded evo.
  22. End of last year when I was in the market for a new FPV I went out and drove plenty of GT's and F6's. The GT other than the noise just didnt do it for me where as soon as I jumped in the F6 and gave it some throttle I was like f*ck yeah that's more like it! Dont get me wrong I love V8's (I still have my 347 windsor powered XP coupe that fills my V8 needs) but the modern day ones just dont stir the soul like the old clevo's and windsors. Hell even my old man whos a "nothing like a V8" kind of bloke has really warmed to my F6 and how well it goes and how bloody good it is on fuel considering the distances I drive and the belting it gets
  23. Mines fine with the higher watt speakers in it... It all comes down to there sensitivity (the polks are a 92db speaker, whilst the alpines are 88db). Ive found if I fade to the front 3 clicks from the middle/centre position its sounds quite good with the mix of speakers I have installed. Maybe try something like that.
  24. Have you done the wire switch change on the sub? Doing that actually makes it sound a bit better as the sub doesnt just sound like a wet fart like it does from factory.
  25. Yep I put Alpine Type "S" splits in the front doors and Polk audio 2 way coaxials in the rear doors of my FG F6, also dynamatted the doors and the sound is much much better than what was coming from the stock "premium" Ford/FPV speakers. Oh and I have also fully dynamatted the rear parcel shelf and boot area plus changed the stock "farting" 8" sub for a Kenwood 8" sub on the parcel shelf... This too has made a big difference to the factory sound... Although its not ear splittingly loud it is at least listenable now compared to stock. May upgrade to a decent amp for the splits and sub oneday but for now the stock headunit and sub amp are doing ok.
