Had this issue on my G6ET. It had been frustrating me for ages. Got a bit of work done at Autotech and got Spiro to do the ZF tune as well. Now the issue is gone and I can drive with passengers asking me why it jolts

Spoke to Matt from Race Brakes Sydney and going to get the Project Mu 400s front and back and braided lines and see how we go
-
Thanks guys. Might get the rotors skimmed, get some Bendix Ultimate pads and do some braided lines and see how we go. Hopefully will fix the shudder. Ive had pretty much every bush replaced in the suspension with the Pedders

Thanks guys. Sorry yeah I have the upgraded pads and rotors, I think they are the T2 or T3 with the pads which Matt from Racebrakes recommended. At first they were great, shudder was gone for a month or two, then the shudder came back. Replaced the front pads, shudder went, then came back again. And this is aftermarket pads and rotors. Its ridiculous that a standard car will shudder so bad at speed. The car doesn't stop too bad with the setup, but the shudder is killing me and the only real reason I am looking to get something different on the front. The shudder is generally only about 80kmh and above where its very noticeable. Would be nice if there was a solution without going brembos. It just seems that when I replace pads its good for a bit and back to the same old shudder. I don't track it or 'use' the brakes much so I don't know why they are going out so quick. If I tracked it I could understand, but I'm actually quite nice to them

I just purchased a second hand rear bar insert and got them to cut that when they fit the exhaust. Its a twin 2.5" exhaust, with quad tips, not a quad exhaust. I prefer the quads. Cars with single side exhaust tips look uneven. Nice and symmetrical. I tuned on 98 as no E85 near me for regular fills. Its been a few weeks, and now it feels like I need more power After driving out of Autotech I was like, this will be plenty. Now looking for the next step, maybe new turbo etc. Maybe some Brembos that aren't stupidly expensive. Hmm decisions....

Ill add it to the to do list. I love the exhaust, and perfect for a daily driver. Over the loud exhausts these days I'm too old

Hi guys, Joined the 300 club today. Had the FG G6E Turbo for about 18 months, and finally decided to get some work done to it. The car is a 2010 FG G6E Turbo, Turbo back twin 2.5" X-Force exhaust quad tip, HDI FMIC, Passenger side Intake, Intake muffler delete, Tune, injectors, ZF Tune, PWR Trans cooler. Tuned by Spiro at Autotech and pulled 320rwkw. I couldn' t be bothered with race and track these days. Been there done that for 20 years, now nice to have a 400+kw sleeper daily driver. A shout out to Spiro, a true gentlemen who went into detail with me on what I wanted out of the car and took time to make sure I was happy. Big thanks to all the boys who worked on my car, you all do a great job and highly recommended.

Looks nice and clean mate. I got some T3 slotted rotors all round, and new Bremtec Endure pads from Race Brakes in Wetherill Park. Doesnt stop as good as Brembos, but stops so much better now and less brake dust than standard pads. And no shudder or sqeeling.

Intake Muffler Delete Lost Power
Akidaki replied to FORCEDG6E's topic in Fuel System & Induction Workshop
Thanks for the advice guys. Was going to buy one to add to my intake a cooler, but I have decided not to pt the muffler on. Glad I saved $200 for a piece of pipe. -
Thanks guys for your replys. I have decided to go a twin 2.5" X-Force, into dual outlet, quad tip system, with a new diffuser. Heard one and sounded great. Will post some pics when I get it fitted.

Thanks guys. Its such a hard decision. I dont want to drop 1k on a catback to not like it. Decisions decisions

Hi guys, recently got a 2010 G6ET, with HDI cooler kit and a passenger side intake. I am now after an exhaust, but gone are the days of stupid loud exhausts and being happy with drone. I have searched the forums for months on which exhaust will do the job, but still havent pinned it down to which exhaust I will get. At the moment, I dont want to spend the money on tune, injectors, dump/cat, and would like just a nice not too loud, NO DRONE exhaust. I dont want to spend more than 1k on the catback, with keeping that in mind looking at mild steel system over stainless. From looking at X-FORCE in the twin 2.5 system, it appears that even these will drone on the auto. The cost of these off the shelf, fitted from various places is $800 - $1000. From what everyone says fitment is crap, sound is ok, but most drone. The other exhaust I am looking at is a 3.5" Custom, mild steel system from Sureflo exhausts. I had a Sureflo 3.5" system on a VY SS years ago, and is such a great sound. Greg from Sureflo said he can do this custom, with No Drone for $950. My question is what do you guys think will be the best way to spend my money? I am thinking the custom, for really almost the same price, tighter fitting, not droning? Ideas? Thanks in advance.

Cheers mate, I just might. I have never even been in an XR6T FG I hope to have a close look at some in the coming weeks.

Hi guys and girls, New member to these forums, although have been lurking around for ages. This forum seems like a very good place to learn about the XR6T's, and has been very informative thus far. A little bit about me. Im not a dreamer that's 'gunna' do everything to their car, and not new to the car scene and have no idea. Im realistic. Had a heap of cars over the past 20 years or so, with the last few being GT Liberty (170awkw) and a VZ SS (270rwkw) and an XT Forester. Dont hang around the huge meet ups much now, but still interested in the cars. In the next few months I will be getting an FG (09-11) XR6T, and in the process of organising mods to the car (I am impatient, and will get it done as soon as I get the car), but like any car I get I try to research as much as I can so I do the mods once. I am planning on doing Tune (X3), injectors, intake, dump, cat, exhaust for the initial spend which will tie up the best part of 6k, and keep me happy for 12 months or so. Im not into tacky mods or crappy wheels etc, just a nice tough streeter. Im also looking at Spiro at Autotech to do all the work and tuning on it. I live in the Hills area of Sydney and would like to catch up with anyone that has a FG XR6T with the above or similar mods. As I said Im new to the XR6T's so I want to look at as many as I can so I get an idea of what can be done, and what I want to do. I have read so many threads of this exhaust/intake is good, bad etc, I want to hear them for myself and see what I want to get. If there is any people willing to catch up around this way, I would be more than happy to come and say gday and grab a coffee. If you would prefer to PM, feel free. Thanks, and look forward to posting more on this forum.

You could have had a crap batch of fuel, and the computer puts itself into safe mode, and can therefore run with no boost. I have had this issue on a few of my turbo cars over the years. If all your cooler pipe work, and hoses look okay, try taking the negative off the battery for 30 seconds, put your foot on the brake pedal to drain the current, then re-connect. I've done this before, and straight away car was running like new again.
