  2. This is the best I could find - (abs) b1342. control mod fault. replaced mod. Resolved Question:(abs) b1342. control mod fault. replaced mod. cant clear codes. abs not workin.checked power and ground both good Submitted: 3 years ago.Category: Ford Expert: Ford snr master replied 3 years ago. with a code like this and the conditions you have mentioned, I would first make sure that the ECU is the module replaced and not the HCU. Second, if the ECU wasn't replaced with a new module, then it could be that the used module is faulty as well. The 1342 code is kind of like a death code that indicates the module itself is faulty, and usually isnt caused by a poor power or ground feed, especially since you were able to retrieve the code it indicated that the powers and grounds ARE in fact powering up the module. Though if you prefer you could load test the power and ground feeds to ensure there is no voltage drop across the circuits, if that checks ok then I would suggest replacing the ABS ECU, either with a new part if a used one was installed, or returning the new one if new and exchanging it as a 'service part warranty' concern.
  3. So had the Coon into the dealership to get the blue tooth firm ware updated so we could have the handsfree and iphone working etc. They did the update, however in the process came across an internal error code related to the front display interface module. Error code B1342 possible causes internal microprocessor failure refer to workshop manual for further diagnosis. This is the reason the blue tooth and I-connector wont work. They wouldnt go any further for me which is disappointing but its going back in and the car dealer is paying for it and the repair whatever it maybe will be covered by warranty. Anyone else come across this issue? The issues accuring are no blue tooth connectivity - ie, when you go to pair a new phone, nothing comes up and when you connect an ipod or iphone it does nothing, no charging no music, nothing. The radio and aux plug still work however.
  4. Infinitys have a good range of clarity and wont hurt your pocket too much. I had the reference series in my last car. They were very very good.

  7. Any reputable brand will have a tag on the spring. I know from my experience with Kings they have a white plastic tag with the spring type on it. This can be related back to find the height and spring rates.
  8. Before I go hunting is the diff bush replacement a mechanic jobby or easy enough for a decent back yarder?
  9. 08 Xr6T owner in Tauranga. Few kms on it but immaculate and drives very very nice. Not new to the performance car scene but new to Fords (usually a Expensive Daewoo fan but never owned one) Perfect for lugging the kids around and the wife loves it. Couple wee issues to sort but nothing major unless the suspension knock becomes painful. Probably fix it with a nolathane upgrade no doubt.

You sir are quite correct. I had my work ute in for a service yesterday and called them back today to sort a leaky strut on the ute and they said the same thing. Theyll do a firm ware up date and resolve the issue. Even get a discount! So very easy. Just need to get a new ambient temp sensor. In NZ we have a parts store (that ships to Aus) http://bettaautopartsonline.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=21 Good times. But good cars, sexy looking thing.

Howdy. Long time fence sitter first time Ford owner in NZ. Just bought an 08 FG Xr6t sedan in silver. 6 spd auto. Good step up in power and space from our old Legacy and wife is happy. Fully standard which is a nice change from all the modded rice rockets ive had in the past. Been reading through the common faults and found a couple in this car inc the outside temp sensor and bluetooth connectivity. Im sure theres a knock in the front left too but will give it a couple days to see if there is. Ill bang some pics up over the weekend. Its done 153km so more than you aussie jokers are used too but its in immaculate cond. It came with a two year warranty and 4 new tyres so will see how long they last! Ive tried searching for the temp sensor fix but cant find it. Anyone help a newbie out? Cheers.
