  1. Wheres the fluffy dice and cross that's supposed to be hanging from the rear view?
  2. Prolly closer to 1650.. does anyone happen to have the official weights of the sedan and ute on hand? I am particularly interested if anyone has weighed their ute on a weighbridge.
  3. I was going to suggest that everyone needs a good dose of harden the **** up, but then I thought better of it..
  4. If you are too scared give the car to me and Ill take it down the strip
  5. Have you ever tuned a XR6T using some of the ELF fuels? I would be interested in seeing any results.. Also where are these auto transmission packages up to?
  6. Sounds good..
  7. PS.. congratulations on the decision to respond to market demands and sell the components seperately. Now sell the injectors, air intake, inlet manifold and transmission upgrade seperately as well..
  8. Excerpt from page: 'The intercooler system is very similar to that used in the PHASE III system though with a number of differences in order to reduce cost and to differentiate it from that used in the total solution PHASE III system – which is our premiere system for the XR6T.' What are the differences? Is the turbocharger swing valve and wastegate actuator available seperately from the intercooler? PS.. I can source them from GCG anyhow so its not really that big an issue..
  9. This is the same gearbox used in the MKIV Supra?
  10. What is involved in the 'higher state of tune' and what is done to the auto. People will continue to ask questions while people continue to refuse to give answers..
  11. Compressor flow is limiting power production, although this is a very large turbocharger for a factory car The main issue with the turbo seems to be controlling boost when you get above about 11psi. The wastegate does not flow enough air which requires machining and fitment of a larger flapper valve.
  12. Provided you can match the plastic with the stock dash, and get rid of the screw holes, I think you will have a surefire winner..
  13. Hello Kev
  14. You mean to say that hyperflow doesnt have their own engineering T????? Well I am very surprised, talk about engineering on the run/cheap. Just borrow a car for a few days, and hey PRESTO, jobs done! Er not quite Peter I think you miss the point. Obviously Hyperflow do have their own engineering facility, after all they design and build quality intercoolers for a number of other cars already. They will be using my car for a week to develop their kit, I am not sure what is so hard to understand about this? (It really is quite a simple concept).
  15. Firstly im not designing it, Hyperflow is, and secondly its not costing me anything, so why would I go and buy it? And finally even if I wanted to buy it, I would need to buy it in the Phase III kit which isnt available. So no offence taken, and good luck in your own endevours..
  16. Peter, The design consideration as yours was I would assume, was to have a kit that provided a minimum amount of pressure drop, while also removing as much heat as possible from the charge air stream, and also while not requiring cutting of body panels nor removal of standard Ford safety features.. Hyperflow are designing this intercooler for the mass market, so will follow a very similar design philosophy. That being said, I do realise the issues regarding 'excessive turbo pressure' which result from the wastegate being too small to flow the required amount of exhaust gas in a modified application. The wastegate will be modified in order to avoid this excessive pressure buildup. Good on you for pointing this important fact out though, as most people wouldnt neccessairly know this. Thanks, Kris.
  17. Stay tuned, in a few weeks I should have the results from my intercooler fitment, and I swear it will be impressive
  18. This is a very popular question, and one that I hope to see them address in the near future
  19. PS.. I quote from the page.. 'The APS design phylosophy is a massive reduction in charge air temperature with minimal pressure drop across the entire intercooler system - result achieved!' You might need to kick someones arse for the spelling mistakes..
  20. http://www.airpowersystems.com.au/falcon/I...intercooler.htm Seek and you shall find..
  21. Agreed, the APS intercooler is definitely the best air-to-air system that I have seen for the XR6T so far.
  22. Im asking how much is the stock core worth on the used market as I am going to sell it. Hyperflow are using my car to create their brand new bar and plate intercooler which I think will prove to be every bit as good as APS's bar and plate intercooler. Only time will tell however, and I can assure you that I can pick the good from the bad as I have a lot of experience in these areas. Thanks, Kris.
  23. UniChip, XEDE, TSI or any other interceptor just like the rest of the BA range. I believe all the falcons use the same ECU (blackoak).
  24. APS: just a educated guess mate Don't see why they would be upset, im sure it will sell a lot of magazines! Anyhow well done on the result, and good luck on your next goal, which im making 330km/h
  25. Next question is how much is it worth? I figure its worth about $400-500 but I've never seen one for sale so I have no idea of the market price.
