  1. Happy Birthday Cheyne_351!

  2. Are you talking about the tensioner? Mine has been making a bit of a tick/rattle noise. Put a screwdriver on the tensioner arm while the car is running and you should be able to feel it if that is it
  3. I run standard rda rotors and qfm hpx on my Vx ss and absolutely love it, no problems what so ever. I plan on running the same combo on the BF(maybe slotted and dimpled rda's instead though) when the bank accounts looking a little healthier
  4. In order of which I owned them - EF Falcon Wagon (sold) Vt Late model camira Executive (sold) Vt S PAC (sold) VX S PAC XA Fairmont Sedan VX SS Late model camira And now my latest Addition is A BF MK11 XR6 Turbo.
  5. Obviously matsfgxr6turbo has made up his mind about how great his car is and showing how ignorant he can be. The 6T really isn't that great on fuel either so I wouldn't be using that as a comparison point.
  6. My dad owns a built BF GT and I absolutely love it. Sounds amazing, pulls hard and definitely doesn't feel week down low. It makes just under 300rwkw, runs 12's and it's great car. I don't see why lots of people have problems with the boss motors.
  7. I guess I'll just wait until I can find a decent cooler kit second hand as I can't afford one brand new, if it happens to get rid of the cross over well then that's a bonus. I wish we had e85 around here
  8. Nah no e85 around here for some reason, not even sure where the closest would be. Why is that? Yeah I thought that was the case with intake, I was trying to decide whether to get a cooler kit that does away with all the piping from factory or one that connects back up the crossover and keeps the intake where it is
  9. Bought some 60lb Siemens today for $200, used but they should be fine. Not sure what to do with the growler intake though, might sell it and get an under battery intake
  10. Yeah that's what I was thinking, I would be spending more money to be at the same point I am now
  11. Would there any benefit if buying a capa intercooler? Are they much better then the monza? I think I might have a go at doing the valve springs myself, can't be much harder then some of the other stuff I have to do at work.
  12. So I have had a chat with elite yesterday and they advised me that I will need to do valve springs and they quoted me $895 fitted for atomic ones. That's sounds like a fair price? I would do it myself but without having a tool I think it would be quite hard but I wast factoring these into my budget as I was under the impression that the stock ones would be fine for the power I'm chasing. Anyone else had problems with the springs at this power? Ultimately though the tuner is quite reputable so they know what they are talking about
  13. Alright thanks for your help henz, time to start talking to a tuner and getting this organised
  14. Okay I will look into that instead if that means saving a bit of money. Thought I would miss the V8 sound but I'm loving the turbo so far. Is the actuator worth replacing?
  15. Okay well that's good to know. Yeah I will be able to do most of the work myself, besides the tune of course, so that will keep costs down. I think I will do the fuel pump though just to be sure. Is the catback worth doing? even if it is just for a bit better note?
