  1. Shame about the date, Im booked in for a knee recon on the 4th, dammit! Will try to get down anyway for a look, crutches or not. Unfortunately, Im out!
  2. Unsure, but looks plenty tough. What you using it in, exactly?
  3. What you have mentioned will certainly give the best bang for your buck and put a smile on your face everytime. Beware the mod bug bites deep and you WILL want more! The 100cpi cat will probably trigger a Catalyst Fail fault code, but the tuner can take care of this as part of the tune. Standard exhaust more than enough for the power level you will have and it will sound louder with the cat fitted. The tune for the auto is entirely up to you, but remember, disabling torque truncation will mean a harder shift at the cost of transmission life. If the tuner is also skilled at ZF tuning, it shouldnt be an issue, just make sure whoever it is can give you both enhanced transmission performance but not at the cost of a rebuild. Enjoy!
  4. Im keen too, just set a date and I'll sort the partner. Been a little while since I karted, the Mundaring cops got me "testing" a good mates Rotax on Richardson Rd... They were'nt pleased at all!
  5. I'd say its entirely achievable, just how brave are you in your quest for big power on pump gas.. the better fuel buys you more of a safety margin if it all goes pear shaped whilst allowing greater freedoms with both boost and spark. Even the strongest of motors will quickly succumb to detonation often in a matter of a couple of seconds if its severe enough.
  6. Mid-200's comfortably, tuner should be monitoring af/rs closely anyway as each vehicle is subtly different. Good luck mate, you will have a blast (not literally I hope..) Mal K
  7. Its more they are playing it safe and that's fine.. the hi-flow cat alone isnt too bad, but an aftermarket dump pipe will more than likely lead to boost control issues. Standard top mount 'cooler wont be much good if you plan to hammer it heaps, but usually good for one hard run. I can see they dont want you to have any reliability issues and are trying to make your car work well as a whole package, which is a completely sensible plan. Let us know how it all goes mate, just make sure you dont forget the fuel pump too! Mal K
  8. Nakamichi were at their zenith in the days before Compact Disc, and seem to have kind of faded out of view. I haven't followed their products much lately, but would hope that they still remain the very high quality standard I remember them for.
  9. Ive used their gear lots, many years ago and it was always the best when it came to sound quality and fidelity, but the best never came cheap. Back when a good Kenwood deck cost $400, their stuff was $1200! Amps never the most powerful, but beautiful musically and really really smooth. Their speakers always sounded a little 'Japanesey", if that's a word, but the rest of their electronics was simply mint.. Still have a home stereo cassette deck of theirs, Nakamichi Dragon, best deck Ive used, bar none.
  10. Woah, why dont you tell us how you really feel...!
  11. Hi, The upgrade '08 TGT also gets auto-dipping rear vision mirror and memory function for drivers seat. Enjoy a great vehicle mate, Mal K
  12. Hi mate, Went to reply to you yesterday but post somehow got lost.. There are certainly a few differences you will find, in terms of fitment you will need additional harness for waste gate duty cycle solenoid and different position for air inlet temp sensor, turbo engine mounts have a different part number, turbo bonnet if using top-mount interheater, different DSC and PCM calibration, turbo specific suspension spring package, different and at this stage unique front disc rotors (front calipers are FPV Performance Brake ones) and I also believe that the ZF trans is different internally from N/A to Turbo (apparently bit stronger.. with regards to frictions ect). Also you will need 18' wheels to clear Turbo Territory brake package... More will spring to mind so I will let you know! Hope this helps.. Mal K
  13. Ive used Wilwood Superlite calipers and Ferodo pads on my Mk1 Capri V8 and they have proven to be a viable option for the money. I have used the Wilwood bridge bolts (two per caliper) to combat the dreaded caliper spread so in a 1000kg tarmac car, it hasnt proven to be an issue. Cheaper and value for money probably best describes the Wilwood brake kits. They are very light in comparison to AP's and Brembo products though...less unsprung weight.
  14. Engine wise, its just the tune, but there are lots of differences as well, different DSC calibration, different shockies, Brembo 4spot front brakes... list goes on, so if you're not too bothered by the cosmetic differences, the Territory Ghia Turbo is an excellent starting point..
  15. While you're at it, fit some genuine Ford ball joints. Ive had a few with lots of play, and if this is so, not replacing them will leave you with an car that's not complete. Do it once, do it right. Mal K
