  1. Just my opinion, but the side steps seem to define the lower sill area well...and they usually cost a motza. Ive yet to fit mine, just another in a long list of to-do's. Mal K
  2. Love to but being in Perth is a bit of an issue.. ha ha ha Best of luck, keep us posted as to how it all worked out. Enjoy the beast, Mal K
  3. Its not a biggie to use the BA/BF, just that the FG is a clean bolt-up, without reflanging the stock plenum to suit. Love to see just how different the config is after all. Mind you, they do look totally different to boot..
  4. How different is the FG throttle body wiring configuration anyway? Surely it isnt totally out of the ballpark getting it to work with BA/BF PCM's..? Anyone got the factory manual? Mal K
  5. It all comes to the luck of the draw, you play, you pay..if caught!! Stealth is best!!
  6. Max (Rockatansky..really his surname!)
  7. Hey, wouldnt it be wicked to change the steering characteristics of your car, as much as is possible, thru software.. You know, really light and soft for old buggers and firmer and direct for those who still possess a modicum of arm strength..
  8. Sounds like a familiar story, so I guess I'll believe it when I see it.. ha ha ha..
  9. Maybe a form of variable assistance, much like the older variable ratio power racks that used a solenoid, controlled by a signal from the PCM. It allowed greater assistance at low vehicle speed, such as parking and low speed manoeuvring and lessened the assistance as speed increased. Food for thought..
  10. I take it that no one has the nous to crack the TCM.. What do ZF themselves use to read and hopefully adjust/reprogram their own product...Does this mythical beast exist? Surely someone has an inkling? There must be differences in the programming even between different applications of the same box, between Jag and BMW et al?
  11. Hard to diagnose from a distance, but perhaps pump failure? Dont fool around with steering, get it checked out ASAP, especially if it craps out totally. These cars are cops to steer without P/S..
  12. Ive got the plates "WEAPON for my 1971 Capri V8.. I reckon it works quite nicely.. 400hp and 1120kg... It would be faster than the low 12s it currently runs on R Specs if I could keep the T5 together.. Mal K
