5. It's shockwave. Shockwave came out when they discontinued blueprint and was available from about August 04, so available the last of the BA mk1's .
6. I have never done it but you will have to drop the gearbox slightly. Look in the Mal Wood section, theres probabally a few pointers there.
7. Check this baby out, an original MK 2 Escort RS2000 with a XR6T engine. http://classicford.mine.nu/forum/topic.asp...amp;whichpage=4 And yeh, I'll happily take an RS Focus to park next to my RS2000.
8. Nov 04 build, picked up Jan 05 and she's about 28500. Given that we now have 3 kiddies under 20 months (god help me) I don't think the km's will increase greatly over the next few years as we only decked out the Territory with kiddy seats. Cool, no spew in the XR.
9. Just fit a Mal Wood Clutch you wont regret it.
10. I'll see if I can make it, but with 8 week old twins and a 20 month old son, I need to see how many brownie points I can acrue between now and then..
11. To fix the fact that first gear is pointing out the window, use some threadlock, it is what the factory do and hence why it's a barstard to get off. I did mine last thing at night, I pulled the knob off (clean mind thanks guy's, even though mine is usualy filthy), poured some threadlock into the knob and then screwed it back on lining it up correctly. It cured overnight and was right in the morning to use. You only get one shot at it, even though I used a low strength threadlock, I can't budge it with my hands.
12. After replacing my clutch with a Mal Wood unit, I feel that the clutch itself has a lot to do with it also. The factory clutch is so forgiving to make it drivable by all, by putting a real clutch in that bites when it engages made the feel of the car completely different.
13. Poor pooh bear, I am tempted to stick it up on my son's wall for a bit of a stir, least I know I can outrun my pregnant wife at the moment...
14.
Just posted but I don't think this computer worked properly so could be double post here..... Reviews after install would be appreciated guys. I am looking at getting these in a few weeks after I get some cash for some E series parts that I am selling. The only thing I'm not real happy with in my car is the shift feel.
If your not happy about the shift feel of the stock shifter, this is your answer. The shift feel is so much better and more direct. Something that I'm sure you wouldn't regret.
15. If frieght from NZ is too expensive, I have one in Adelaide. Done 26000km, slipped at highway speeds in 5 & 6 with 260 kw at the wheels. Prob be right for a NA and the clutch plate still looks fine.
