Yep everything is illegal if you go to the letter of the law. like your Rego sticker must be 20cm from the bottom of the screen?!?! Chooka
  6. Coat Hanger? But seriously I think there was one for sale in the market section? And I would be bargining with a dealer myself rather than going through a lease company. Chooka
  7. An example of someone who probably should not filter in front of a T Chooka
  8. Yeah that lead poisioning is a real killer. Especially when it comes in the form of a 150 grain hollow point 308. thinking more along the lines of a 170 grn 30-30 30-30 hey, well that would save on digging a hole bigger than a cricket ball I guess Chooka
  9. I can see this catching the off topic thred Jet Chooka

  13. Yep not a Expensive Daewoo fan but that's not a bad car you have there Carty should be a great drive with the maual, those motors are pretty reliable and that price is about as far as it should bottom out so you should not loose too much when you upgrade to a T in the future Chooka
  14. This is just another way to get the bikes of the road, (What did we get for the extra $100 on rego?) I do see the points of some of you guys about damage to cars etc. I lane split at lights but only if I have enough time and room to get to the front (yes I do take off fast to not hold people up) I have had drivers move across and block me when there was at least room for three bikes to get through just cause he didn't want someone in front of him. I personally can not see the harm in lane splitting and if I ever did knock a mirror I would stop Chooka
  15. Why not a citroen?? chooka
  16. Yup, I found the stock headlights to be really substandard too. You can replace the globes with the Philips +50 vision ones (or whatever they're called). This simple mod made one helluva difference for me and those globes are completely legal (just don't go for the silly blue tinted ones - they're nowhere near as bright, look silly and, most importantly, aren't legal!). Could not be as bad as EF lights!!! Chooka
  17. seen this one, note the bit of head on the back of the truck and the arm still in the side near the seat!! Chooka
  18. If I was to get the edit first do you think that I would have to get a retune when fitting the plenum? Don't think you would have to, but would be a benifit no doubt. Chooka
  19. Full marks to you, Adam. Well, to continue the story, got here (Goulburn) in one piece, and got the car to a repairer, (Good bloke who has only been in his own business for 2 weeks, used to work for Ford!) After much swearing and head shaking, we got the sender unit out of the tank to find a 9 month old Walbro pump with a nice little MUD PILLOW attached to one end of it. In tank filter was chockers full of crap, and the pump was totally seized!!! Dave, (the mechanic) said it was the dirtiest filter he has ever seen in 17yrs, for a 15 month old car, and also agreed ANY fuel pump would have failed under the fuel conditions. I will post some pics when I get sorted and get it going again. We both rang everywhere we knew that may have a walbro fuel pump, there is NONE in Canberra what so ever, Tried ringing C+V in Sydney, MRT performance, HPF, all were closed, as expected. Ended up getting one from somewhere in Melb (im not sure, but Dave has dealt with them a bit!) put in an overnight bag and should be here tomorrow at lunchtime, so hopefully I can get it going before the weekend! So here I am, stuck in Goulburn for another night, with a huge repair bill all thanks to VORTEX 98 bought at CALTEX BRADDON, ACT. dont ever buy anything from there! Im going to send the filter and a copy of all of my fuel reciepts to Caltex and see if they can subsidize the repairs, since I have used the fuel from one pump at one servo 97% of the entire life of the car, and find it hard to believe that much damage could be done from the other 3%. Hey Danno, Send them the complete bill, they will knock it back the first two times but the third they will send you a letter and a cheque saying that they can find no contamination at the site but they will by the bill in goodwill. You would be surprised how much contaminated fuel there is out there! Send me a pm and I'll give you the drill mate Chooka
