Ummm... think you are confused, The only time the car is "replaced" is if your policy has a new for old clause, and usually only applies for the 1st or at best 2nd year. My car is 3 years old and would not be replaced. The insured value is what the cheque amount will be less any excess payable that they write out to me if it is either written off or stolen and unrecovered for the specified time. It seems to me that a whole lot of XT6T's will get written off or get lost if they keep this up. Just Be aware of all the fee's etc they will take out. My mates GSXR1000 was insured for 20k and by the time it all washed up he got just on 16k Chooka
