Isn't that illegal in Victoria? I thought the portable speed camera site was not allowed to be disguised in anyway. Like, you could put the detectors on the lawn in such a fashion that you did not see them until you passed the bugger but an attendent must be in the vehicle at all times. They're not allowed to have their bonnet up on the side of the road pretending to be a breakdown or anything like that. Having said that, I thought I read somewhere, possibly in NZ or Tassie (no offence intended to anyone in those places), where they were trialling speed cameras disguised as garbage bins. Not sure then, you might be right, but I know they were trying too! So what are the fixed ones then, they are pretty hidden if you don't know what you are lookin at?
