Hey Guy's, Geea and I spoke about this the other week and I think I have had the experience to compare both. I had the BFXR6T 6speed auto for a week then swapped it over for a BFXR6T 6manual for a week and these were my thought's If I was to go out and buy a new BF hands down it would br the 6auto, as F6_tornado said it takes a while to learn the way it works and get the best out of it. I have never been in a stocko that chirps sideways into second! But on the other hand if I was to go a seocnd hand BAII (would not consider BAI as no 6 speed) it would be the six speed manual for the simple fact once you start modding all you need is an upgraded clutch and the 6 speed manuals are NEAR bullit proof. My conclusion was that the auto was clearly faster in a straight line with no boost drop off between gear changes but I actually got more injoyment driving the manual If I was getting a BF auto for me! BAII it would be the manual! Chooka

One word "Practice!" that's the way I learnt up on my parents farm from a little kid, but as CJF077 said once you master it you won't turn back! Unless of course you decide to go drag racing! Chooka

I'm a little undecided, when I read it I thought no would not work with the phoon kit but after seeing the shop of it it actually works pretty good!! Chooka

Hey Mate, Wheel alignment can be put out really easy, all you need is a pothole in some cases! and as you said, it's a good idea to have a look at your tyres every week to look for abnormal wear as it does not take long to wear them out if the alignment is out Chooka

I understand this though, would you guarentee work someone else has done? Chooka ← NO... but I wouldnt try to get out of fixing a crooked boot lid because my customer had an X-force exhaust or a BMC filter ford would though ← Yeah well, I never said they were not scum bags! Chooka

Resonable?, ford? pfft! You have to really know a dealer that is willing to help you, if ford know the car is modded then they will try everything to get out of it. I understand this though, would you guarentee work someone else has done? Chooka

Hey Zap, I have had a look on the net but only put a limit to 30k on the search, I will try what you suggest mate, great idea For 30k on the net they all seem to be MK1 or if they are MK2 they are auto. Funny thing is the sedans seem to go for less than the UTES!?! Chooka

Hey Guys, Just after your thoughts..... I have canned my idea to get a new T ute with the 6speed auto as I can't justify the extra price and the mayjor loss in resale I will have for the sort of km's I do. What I want to know is do you think I can pick up a BAII with the 6 speed manual for under 30k? color is not really an issue, would prefer premium sound and under 50,000km though So what do you guy's think, possible? There is more stress on a turbo engine than a N/A. Like skylines for example, you will notice that allot of people sell their Skylines when they hit around 70k. Its because they either require their MAJOR service or they need a rebuild. Being brought up in the N/A world this is what I have been taught about turbo engines. To me the T is the ultimate car. Although I also once thought that the T would last as long as any N/A engine (partly due to its low boost, great engineering & tuning) I have been lead to believe that this engine will not last anywhere near as long as N/A performance engines such as the Ls1. ← well the LS1's use oil from new so that's a good starting point Chooka
