  1. Interesting, I have been using Optimax for a little whilenow and have noticed a lot of black sh*te on the tips as well. Car still ging OK though. Knowing shell, nothing would surprise me Sounds like you have clagged injectors or a dirty fuel system.

  3. About to order a new Typhoon and will use my capa box as a carry over from the XRT - what could I expect to see with some custom tunes? Will keep it stock other than edits.
  4. Fitted mine a few months ago and just come back from a run along the Great Ocean Road last week and had a hoot. With the 98ron 10lb edit it was flat as going side ways. Tyres are rooted now though! Chased a WRX and he kept looking in his mirror with disbelief. he he he! The missus squeeked a lot though!
  5. Hey Guys, Had mine done a 2 months ago under warranty, not that that was a problem. Just had some new rubber fitted and according to my tyre guy the rear wheel allignment was out -6 degrees on the right and +3 degrees on the left, work that one out No wonder it was loose as in the wet!!! My take on it is to make sure u get a wheel alignment done after they stuff around with the diff. Scotty
  6. I put one on my XRT on the weekend and it seems to be more responsive. The acid test will be in Summer. Like u said the only way to tell is on the Dyno. Next time it goes to KPM for a service I get them to check. How much did u pay for it? - If any SA guys plan to do it, go to Motortraders, it was $20 cheaper than Ford direct. Scotty

  8. Is or has anybody out there running 18" Dunlop SP Sport 3000A.? What are they like? What sort of Km's have they seen in around town driving. I am running a CAPA edit and my D9000's are stuffed with 22000 kliks on them . Was told that I should see 30,000. yeah sure!
  9. Had the same problem with mine and KPM (adelaide) modded some of the "numbers" in the edit and it is back to normal, thank god. It took a couple of goes but all is kool A 2000 rev on a cold start is not nice!
  10. Panic over... Just a computer code thing with no bearing on the edit. Also nothing that Ford has put in place.
  11. My Series2XRT was edited & tuned by KPM (gr8t guys) and it flies. Has done arround 20000ks and a has had a diff leak and spine problem on drive line. Makes a tinging type of sound when u gun it. Fixed under warranty. Currently running 8lb 95RON tune which is plenty to blow pre gen3 HSV's, you should see their faces Anyhow, according to Ford the spline noise has had a tech bulletin realeased and the fix is applying Locktight. The diff leak is a quality control issue. Unable to say if it is attributed to the edit. It is the old story, give anything mechanical sh*t, you end up paying. Treat it with TLC and it will return the same. One thing though, be prepared to relace rubber and regular intervals.
  12. Just had the car serviced a couple of weeks ago and it has to go back in with a leaky diff and drive shaft spline problem under warranty. However, flashed back the factory settings this am and a message "security code error" came up on the command centre screen. Anybody seen this? Have they finally worked out how to ID flash edits? Bye bye warranty????? Scotty
  13. Have a series2xrt auto with a capa flash. All stock but considering adding a hiflo cat to the stock system. What sort of gains could I expect? Anybody out there have any experiences or opinions - can't go crazy as it is my work ride. Cheers Scotty
  14. Hey Ritchie, Thanks for reply, been off the air Have changed my handle as you will see. Will keep an eye out for events. Unfortunately cannot do the drags - won't be in SA. Would have liked to see what sort of numbers the car could do. Do u guys go crusin often? Cheers Scotty
