  4. Sure you don't want a 4202. Lol. I got a full setup with Etm extractors, twin external gate set up and 4 inch dump. Mine was pushing a good 1200 hp at 30 psi. Done couple of dyno runs and that's it. My goals are a lot different.
  5. haven't yet bit of a hiccup for the time being will prob go with a gtx55 I think I need to build a new manifold may as well go the biggest I can. Got some 15x12 rims and 13 inch tyres ill see how I go if I can make them fit it would be nice but we will see. should then be able to 60 ft 1.0-1.2. they may be just too much to get under yet
  6. Was just talking to garret. There's a gtx47r that will support 1600 hp. So with my engine. It should be capable of 1800 hp. I think that's right on the money. Just taking some measurements to make sure it will fit. It's t6 flange but without it. The hp is un achievable Your right though. They do snowball and you tend to get caught in the moment. Lol. Whatever you plan on spending on big build. Double it and you might get closer to actual outlay.
  7. He has a gt55. Not x. Etm said best to sell the whole setup and start from stratch. I'm thinking for time being get a gt47 adapt to manifold. And see how I go. To outlay the total cost of that setup again. Does not sound appealing at this stage. Considering its seen the road for 10 mins total. Might be good to have the smaller unit during r&d time.
  8. Yeah it's rediculous for the boost level. Even Dion was amazed it produced that sort of power at 21psi. It's a new turbo on it. It ran a gt42 before. So didnt expect it to do what it did. Because it took a bit more boost to get the same power with last turbo. I'm chatting with Etm at the moment too see how the heck I'm going to get a turbo that size under there
  9. Yeah gt55 looks like it will be. I have put lexcen windows in side and rear windows. Trying now to get a 12 inch rim under the back. Power will never be the issue as to how far it goes. The chassis will. Had a text earlier with a destroked engine. It made 830rwhp on 21 psi of boost with a gtx4202. Motor and turbo Same as mine. I'd love to see that turbo pushed to the limits and see if theres 40-50 psi of boost. In it. That is with very concervative timing in it and pump fuel The gtx was brought early on when goals were t quite so high. And to top that. Garret talked me In to getting a bigger one I was going to get 4294.
  10. Yeah full slicks later down the track will be def on your cards. There has been delay after delay with it. I have most of it done. Waiting on turbo and 5000cc injectors from states. Dion from dynomite performance has worked out how to keep the head on these things. So that will be a few weeks away from getting that. The rest of the motor is complete. Just sent the crank off to get the end float clearance right and then can put it back together. It's taking time but the research and dev that is going into this destroked engine is second to none. Also while I have the engine apart I'm going to sell the gtx4202 to make way for a real heart on this thing. Lol. Still yet to put it on scales and get the weight distribution Right and setup the suspension better. Im really hanging to get it the track though. There will be a lot of sorting out to come since we are the first to go into unknown territory. Oh well in due course. I think its time you put the bench mark down and it gives me something to catch
  11. Nice work. your car is coming together nicely and great power. Can't wait to see it go down the track
  12. It was a built motor. Rods pistons gurdle. And the usual hardware. It was 32 pounds when that happened. No idea on power. But with a fuel flow meter we were using 15ltrs a minute of ethanol . So it has to be pushing 1200 hp It only has 12 mm arp head studs. So it might just be a head gasket. When I put the new motor in. I'll pull that motor down and if its just a head gasket ill put new gaskets on and sell it. As its lucky to have done 5000km since rebuild
  13. Didnt make it to the track. Bumped the boost up a little for a just in case tune. And it's taking water into cylinder 6. Not sure whether its head gasket or crack block. But it's not worth repairing that engine it was just in there while I waiting on the other. The block is out now getting prepped and all parts except cams are here which there due shortly
  14. With all going to plan. I meant to be taking it to heathcote on the 3rd feb. nothing wild in the way of power. Need to just get it there and go from there. I'm really wanting this engine parts to turn up. That way all the big stuff out if the way and be closer to where I want to be
  15. . I have left my hard top on too. If it didnt the ratio of weight would be just too much. I got alot of gear in that engine bay I can't fit anything else in there. Might look at removing the process west cooler later. There's alot of weight just there. When we start to push some higher horsepower figures ill then see if we can do away with it. Methanol/ ethanol has huge cooling capabilities And I know over in the states they don't run anything. So that may be an option yet
