  1. Just had these fitted today! 18 x 8.5 Starcorp AGLE. 245/40R18 Falken 326. $1800 Bob & Toms Tyrepower (Newcastle)
  2. I'm not having a go at anyone, but I paid $82.00 for my Typhoon CAI, yet people say "foreget that" or go to Bunnings Hardware and make one from PVC tubing. OK at the end of the day performance between genuine or home made is marginal at best, but we all have paid $30K to 50K or more for our rides and yet some complain at spending $50 - $80. I personally think that the extra money is well worth spending!
  3. Rang Ford here Newcastle, 24hrs later it's here! How easy is that. Looks easy enough to fit, thanks for the assistance. Had my T now for 5 days. Makes my old AUII XR8 look really lame!
  4. Within the next 2 weeks ill be getting my centre muffler removed. Ill do before and after sounds. Ill be going hotdogs as I dont want it too loud. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'll bee looking forward to that!
  5. Thanks for input. When I get them on I'll post some pic's!
  6. Thanks for that. I'll be onto our local Ford dealer tomorrow!
  7. I'm considering removing the centre muffler on my T, but I'm a bit curious! I would like a nice note from the exhaust, I would like a increase in power, but I don’t what it too loud or to drone through the car. This subject has been discussed before. What would be nice is some sound files and pic’s of just pipes, pipes with hotdogs and say a high quality free flowing muffler? I will be doing it just I’m a bit unsure of which option as there seems to be some mixed thoughts.
  8. I want to put CAI induction on to my T. Using the typhoon unit sounds apealing. Can anyone supply me with a Ford part number.
  9. I want to change my wheels from 17" to 18". I've found a rim I like in 18 x 8.5. (see attachment below) The tyre they are offering is a Nankang NSII 245/40R18 tyre. The cost of the tyre is around the $200 each mark. What are these tyres like performance/wear. My T is standard and will be for some time. The price of the package is excellent. Any constructive comments appreciated!
  10. I know that this question has already at sometime been asked, but which edit do you guy's & girl's recommend? My car is only 6 mths old, it has CAI & filter. I don't want to do anymore mechanical mods but I do want it to perform better than a std 'T'. I like the sound of a "off the shelf" edit ie: CAPA flash or Herrod flash ect. I want to be able to revert back to factory specs when ever I want. I won't be changing injectors or exhaust so what do you recommend and what edit do you suggest and what rwkw do you think could be safely achieved?
  11. I've just bought a 11/04 MKII XR6T. Never been with AAMI before. Only mods is tint and wheels, I'm 44 Premiun $638.00 for 1 year!
  12. It all depends, my auto ute, not much crap in the back too often, around town 595-610km per 70 lts on the highway, say a run to coffs and back from newcastle 740-780 km per tank. on my xede I have amap that runs the car reasonably lean between the revs of 1800 and 2600 and 10-30% throttle opening, lower boost to, still 7 psi but not 11psi like the rest. this allows the car to have a AFR of around 13.9:1 when cruising, factory it was 10.2:1, so I save about 35% fuel, if I put my foot down to overtake, the tune is set to add fuel allong with boost as revs rise, its AFR return to 12:1 nice and safe. Tthis works a treat with the xede causer I can flick the switch and have 290rwkw or run my in town tune(also my wet weather and wife tune) and have 245 rwkw and great economy. I am sure you could do it with the flasher, just a pain to upload a high output tune if you want to show a Expensive Daewoo driver a clean set of heals. Have fun. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ive just moved from a AUII XR8, to a XR6T MKII. From the above figures they seem fine as even the AU would not get these and certainly wasn't as much fun as turb!
