  1. I'll be there! Hey Muzza what with your Avatar. It's a bit blurry.
  2. So I guess I'll stop preparing my T for the foreshore then!
  3. Yeh I know http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=26122 Any further input still appreciated!
  4. What are these kits like? Any one here have one fitted if so any pic's? Any info appreciated!
  5. Anymore info re: the show @ the foreshore? When, where to meet etc!
  6. Thanks BAturb. I too do prefer the look of the PWR unit.
  7. No, I'm not trying to start a "stupid debate". I know both above mentioned cooler are of similar size and design. I was only asking a question which related to a difference I noticed between the two. My T has been Wogged, so I am not about to bag him or his products has he done exactly what I have asked of him and more. I just want to be able to make an informed decision as to which cooler I will buy. I thought the forum was a place us novices could asked questions with out being it being assumed there is a hidden aggender! Have A nice Day!
  8. They do look similar! So what you are saying is that even though the Herrod/Wog cooler has less tubes, they are of a larger size therefore are similar in cooling surface to the PWR unit!
  9. Maybe a stupid question, but I will ask it anyway! Does a cooler that has more tubes between tanks work better than one with less? OK I can already here some of you guys calling me names. For example a PWR has 21 tubes the air passes through, yet the Herrod unit has only 16 tubes (obviously why there is a price difference aswell). From what I understand both of these are quite respected units.
  10. Going by what PWR have told me in past instances they have changed the design so you dont have to grind, but to be safe call them, tell them what model you have they will give you a part number, ask them if you have to grind, they will tell you no, then if you have a problem, send it back. ← They should also tell you that for the little bit of grinding required you are better fitting the cooler picured above as it is better than the "new" easy fit but less effective model. ← In what way. How did they change/modify them?
  11. Not much difference is there!
  12. Anyone please? One is for a BA mark one one is for a BA mark 2 onwards I really aint sure what the other one is for. You are correct! PWI2054 = DELETED PWI5154 = UP TO 2004 WITH OE BRACKETS WELDED TO THE COOLER FOR MOUNTING PWI5405 = SOME LATE 2004 AND 2005 ON WERE A THREADED BOSS IS WELDED TO THE COOLER FOR MOUNTING Info provided by REPCO! Thankyou for all who helped answer my question! The End!
  13. PWR have 3 different part numbers for cooler for XR6T's. All I wanted to now is what the differences between the 3 are as PWR "at least the guy I spoke to" didn't have a clue.
  14. On the PWR website, they list 3 different coolers for Ford BA's. #1 is for Falcon BA I assume it is a direct replacement for original. #2 is for Falcon BA up to 2004 (Single pass) I assume MKI. #3 is for Falcon BA 2005 on (Single pass) I assume MKII. Is this correct? Also, what do they mean by "Single Pass"
  15. Thanks SHOCKXR6T & Master G for your relies
  16. Hi Michael Try not to look just at the high numbers. It's (really) not that important. Look at how the power comes on. Please don't flame me you guys with big numbers cause I'm not having a go at anyone OK... Try and get the power to come on down low where you do most of your driving. That's where you're going to feel it as well. Especially when you have that Clubbie sitting beside you that you want to smoke at the lights. (Come on....we all want to do that...) You could say the high numbers are just a bi-product of a good (and some mind blowing) setups. If the dyno reads 300kw...don't just look at that figure....look at the journey of how it gets there. For street driving, the shorter the better. The mods you mentioned just happen to earn you 280-300kw but it really is irrelevant. Especially cause dynos can vary so much. Cheers ← Hey Steve, I know a way we can test your theory! Line them up. My 238 against your 256! Come on, you know you want to! Come on, you know you want to! Come on, you know you want to! Come on, you know you want to! Come on, you know you want to!
  17. Is there a "rule of thumb" formula to work out the difference. I have 238.1rwkw's, and am just wondering what this would equate to at the flywheel?
  18. Here's some pic's of my T, what do you think?
  19. And maybe some black flames too Lumpy ← I'm with you guys.. Around these parts we call them kloster stripes Kloster are our local dealer & for some reason they have taken the bling factor away from the stripes (on a none GT) Too top that off they put COBRA Stripes on bog stock none turbo Extaxi's. Please think again if you want it to look different put an extra coat of polish on the beast. But then again the black flames would be HOT!!! Muzza. ← Exactly why I removed the "Kloster Stripes"!
  20. For what it's worth, I used to have Dark Grey MKII stripes on a Lightning Strike T. I recently added a BF GT body kit and intended putting orange BF stripes on, but now the kit has been finished, I have decided stripes would spoil it. IMO!
  21. try reflash it!!!! ← Thanks Nick, I'll try it and let you know. By the way, If I put a 3.5" dump pipe with a metal cat into a twin 2.5" cat back system, what effects would it have on your tune. I have already added the cat back twin 2.5" system and there does not appear to have any adveres effects! ← Yeah mine still revs up hard at the start when cold. The TC switches off only when things get hectic and there is a consistant loss of traction under heavy work condition other than that all is well. Daryl why dont you change the cooler on your car first. It makes the car run better with the standard muffler, and its not an expensive mod. How much is the cat baack 2.5"? does it sound different? MG ← I used a Redback Cat Back system. It's around $400ish. Hard to say if there has been any power gain, the note however is a bit deeper. Probably not worth it but I'm too lazy to take it off!
  22. try reflash it!!!! ← I tried it, still the same!
  23. Count me out! I'll go up earlier for a look. I'm with Mickey Gee, earlier would have been better for. Hope you have a great lunch and cruise!
  24. Thanks anyway, but I found it. The SEARCH button is a powerfull tool!
  25. Hey Conza, would you be able to tell me the part number of the Aux Input Cable kit. Our local Ford parts store says that it doesn't exist, which we all know it does! Many Thanks Daryl
