  1. They are fantastic. Great little cars. If my 323 dies, I'll be tracking down a tx awd turbo & doing a quick overhaul to make it reliable me thinks
  2. Wondering what peoples 'other car' is, more of a daily drive thing. I'm rocking a '89 mazda 323 I'm currently trying to find someone silly enough to give a RWC
  3. yup, utes got a full sized 19 under it. Kind of a waste as if they could make a rim/tyre that could SOMEHOW??? fit for short distances, they wouldn't have needed to use as much space under the tray and a heap of other extra work to make it fit
  4. Forgive my ignorance, but some of the upgraded rails I've seen for sale are a fix to a potential restriction with a stock rail?
  5. 6pots are huge. The fluid will be sh*t, change it all out
  6. Seriuously? 4 stroke has no place in a garden shed. oil burners for the win! wind it up & let it rev!
  7. She needs to ask herself about what she's putting in the car for most trips. If its school with kids & bags, the ST will piss it in. Plus I think they look heaps better than the xr5. If she can't fit in everything she needs, she needs to ask herself why she's carrying around so much crap! Please dont put another SUV on the roads
  8. actually ^^^^ what he said
  9. Not something to do with that overboost feature?
  10. +1 for stand alone cooler kits for any auto. can't go wrong
  11. +1 for atf change every 75,000. But its a good box
  12. that & if the pressures weren't raised to try & lock the clutches up quicker you'll get slip every day of the week Out of all the boxes, this is probably the easiest to try to build yourself. if not, its still a cheap job for someone else
  13. +1 for the rangerover site teardown. Lots of hq pics & good detail. If you had a little spare money, time & the inclination, there are zf boxes that come up on ebay from time to time. Having a replacement might be a good idea. You could also mod the other then sell it. Might make some money back on it?
  14. Only time I've heard of GW causing issues. Research I did said penrite was a bit iffy to use, I've put it in & it's working fine. No drama at all. What about the fluid level?
  15. If your looking to eliminate roll, sway bars are the better option for you (with a pair of shocks in reasonable condition)
  16. Just before you do, it's a very common thing for the little fitting on the diff breather hose to clog. This then builds pressure in the diff & weeps from the seal. I've had mine cleaned & a oil change, haven't had an issue. This is a common problem for all diffs on all rwd cars. I would start there before you go pulling everything apart (yuk)
  17. Whats the difference between them? if any? Haven't heard of this as a worth while mod before
  18. Looks half styled after an AU inb4swidishbrick
  19. How much boost?
  20. What ever came of the old drif6 after it hit the wall?
  21. Just wondering the main benefit behind the wastegate mod. I've noticed the boost gauge in my f6 registers a very slight change at cruising speeds. Checking this via the OBD port it is still not positive manifold pressure, but I imagine the presure would be higher than an NA Barbra motor. Does the flap change allow a bit better economy or is it somehow a mod for more/better power?
  22. Wouldn't mind getting a mate & driving up for the event tbh
  23. Is it a B series or F series? I have been told previous that the B series had a poor position for the boost sensor which lead to a heap of issues
