  1. Well, just did a long distance drive & got 8.7L/100k. So not real sure whats going on. Thought is at this stage the temp probe in the rear is a little more sensitive & effects the tune in town situations
  2. Um, isn't it a water to oil cooler....?
  3. any idea if the PWR unit is more effective/efficient too?
  4. Try to find out what fluid they put in the box too. There are some better oils than others for them
  5. Gauge is wired, no pipes
  6. I'd like to revise my previous post. My insider is indecisive & gives round about answers now.
  7. I'm told by an insider there is deff no GT coming. At all. What so ever. Do I want them to build this? you bet. Will it happen? no
  8. Hey DD, Fair enough. Car feels a bit better at times, but it's probably based more on temp than anything else. I'm not noticing any corralation between the gauge issues & performance. Any performance issues I'm putting down to heat & no spool/wrong gear Idles high at times. I'm putting it down to a slightly low battery or something of a like. Gauge is stock on the F6. No mods to the car at all restart the car & the gauge might still not be working, next day it'll be working fine. There's also the issues where it's not reading an absolute zero value durring idle/full vac. Tap the gauge pod hard & it sort of rights itself. I'm starting to lean towards a faulty gauge?
  9. +1 on the wheels. I want to do my induction & engine bay much like yours was
  10. Bumping for ideas? thinking its a sticky actuator
  11. Oh sheet! Almost time for a new turbo
  12. *moar*
  13. Need that lumpy v8 sound, most cams pls
  14. Probably keep that in mind actually mate. Ute's starting to drink a bit of fuel which I wasn't expecting, trying to figure out what's going on. Could be likely that rear sensor
  15. Looked over the other night & saw the gauge wasn't moving and I assumed a hose has blown off somewhere. This morning the gauge was working fine, the arvo again saw the needle not moving. Also, in some conditions I see the slightest hint of a reading (eg highway cruise) & sometimes I don't. Anyone got an idea?
  16. Looks like there's not a huge difference. We think the rear sensor is more for temp only (monitors the cat temp for emissions) where as the front is also for temp+02
  17. Just replaced my o2 sensors on the ute & noticed the one behind the cat had a blue connector on the loom & the other at the turbo had a green one. The plugs were basically the same save for the indexing tabs on the sensors themselves. I snapped the tabs off the sensor & just plugged it in to the loom. My understanding is that o2 sensors are pretty much to a standard & they should work when plugged in. So far, no warnings/limp, economy seems better, power is good. Anyone know if there is a difference? (couldn't imagine they would use two different sensors like that surely? I'll ask a former FPV sparky I work with tomorrow as well)
  18. Need pics....
  19. Thought I might kick off a bit of a register for the F6 Utes. I didn't realize they were as rare as they are. Starting here with BF 2006 #0077 in silhouette, fully optioned. Stock
  20. I had some cheaper oil in for a short time to do an intermediate flush, just put RP 20w50 in. Wow, different ute now. Never going back to sh*t oil again. I couldn't get 15w40 at the time, didn't want to go 10w either. I'm happy with the 20 though.
  21. I have found the box does surge a bit when its warming up & I've got it in manual maybe a gear too high. Other than that, no issues
  22. Just topped up the box with some more penrite dx-vi. Smooth as now
  23. Actually, I've heard of a lot of issues with split dumps too
  24. Good question, wouldn't mind knowing the difference either
  25. Nice ute, just how we like them. Business in the front, party in the back
