  1. hopefully mine will arrive on monday or there abouts can't wait!!
  2. the missus had her windscreen wiper snapped off the other night... car was in the front yard :locked: useless f*cking pricks! what the f*ck was the point? just a pain in the ass!
  3. where'd you get that from mate?? that's what I'm looking to do.. for $85 you get the full version I've never really bought anything over the net, I don't trust it.. prefer making a phone call.. Anyone in canberra gonna order it from OS?? if so, let me know and I'll fix ya up with cash!
  4. depending on the TV you own, the whole bluray thing is null and void. You'll need a full HD tv to get the real benefit from bluray, likewise from HDDVD (which can be added to xbox360)
  5. Either one is pretty good, personally I have a 360. They have a bigger range of games, and apparently the online gaming is really good. Although I don't play online, I probably should give it a go, but then I'd probably never get off it! If you go the 360, make sure you go for the newer version with the HDMI port, even if you don't have a HDTV. From what I can gather, they're better and less prone to the red ring of death and over heating issues. Unfortunately I got one of the first versions, but touch wood I've had no issues. I might upgrade in the near future though.
  6. I don't think it matters how it's 'spelled' ... I was under the impression that spelt or spelled were both correct, and can both be used. But either way, after a night shift I think I can be excused if it is wrong Next you'll be telling me that colour doesn't have a 'u' in it, and that my mothers day cards should read dear mom
  7. the one I hate is live... you really have to understand the context of the information to understand what the word is; No wonder some of the immigrants struggle with our language. Live and Live... sound different, mean different.. spelt the same Lead and Lead... as in the dog has a lead, or the bullet is made of lead. I'm sure I could think of others, but at 0550hrs after a night shift, I really couldn't be bothered.

    Hayfever

12hr demazin is the only thing that works for me I've tried everything, and the 12hr demazin hits the spot. If it's not available then I get the 6hr ones and usually do a double or take 1, then see how it goes. They have pseudoephedrine and anti histamine. Anti histamine is the stuff you want, it actually attacks the allergy and reasons for allergy, and the pseudo helps dry it up. Usually the body produces too much histamine when the nose/eyes/mouth come into contact with pollen or other hayfever causing substances, and the anti histamine inhibits the production of histamine. Histamine causes the body to create excess nasal juice to try and rid the pollen etc Only problem is, the anti histamine can make you drowsy, especially if you have a boring, behind the desk type job! Usually anything with a anti histamine and a bit of pseudo should do the trick, good luck!
  9. I've got a BA MKII. Still got the old XR6T cat laying around in the shed.. I wonder if that'll help it at all. Probably best off paying a few hundred for a good hi flow anyways.
  10. cheers mate! so for around 2k outlay, that's not too bad. Kicking myself I didn't keep the flash tuner from my XRT.
  11. how much was the exhaust, if you don't mind me asking mate?? what's the exhaust note sound like?? is it overly loud? does it sound anything like an XR6T with centre muffler removed?
  12. sounds good mate! how much did all that set you back roughly? what exactly did you do to the exhaust? I wouldn't mind getting a little more poke out of the fairmont!
  13. That's a really good point mate, and something I obviously didn't think about! I might have to review my options for next year
  14. the way I look at the flexi premium is this; if I pay full price premium $645 with a $500 excess, and I have an accident after 5yrs with them, I'd pay around $3725 in total.. if I pay flexi of $340 per year, plus $2100 excess, and I have an accident after 5yrs I'd pay around $3800 in total. So for me, it's worth it. Even if it worked out slightly more, it would be worth the risk in the long run, as if I keep my nose clean I'd save a fair bit.
  15. I was pretty shocked when my xbox 360 would only display at 420p on my new 50 inch high def tv... you have to go into xbox display settings, and then select which hi def you want. Depending on your tv, 720p and 1080i should be available through the component cables. Not sure if 1080p will work, but it'll let you know if it doesn't!
  16. when I had my XR it became hard to start after the walbro install. Especially if I had just driven it, stopped for a little while. Turns out it just needed a little extra time to build enough pressure or something, because if I turned the car to 'on' and let it sit for 10 or so seconds it would pretty much crank over straight away. See how that goes, and if it's still an issue.. I dunno!
  17. I'm in .. feel free to add me!
  18. you c*nt of a person Well, unfortunately for me, getting out of the XR was a no-brainer.. stepping out of a 300rwkw T has been a bit of a culture shock! All things considered though, it was probably the best move. I still owed 20k on it, the gearbox was dying, the paint job was up the creek (after an accident).. had I bought another T, I would have been borrowing the whole amount (or most of it), which I certainly didn't want to do! The grandpa car allows me to save some coin for another house, plus save coin for my wedding next year. A few years in it, and I'll pass it on to the missus and I'll be back in a T. It was either spend another 10-12k on the XR (T56 and full re-spray) or get rid of it and let it be someone else's problem!
  19. Ha.. you don't need to tell me that.. stepping out of a 300rwkw T has been a bit of a culture shock! All things considered though, it was probably the best move. I still owed 20k on it, the gearbox was dying, the paint job was up the creek.. had I bought another T, I would have been borrowing the whole amount, which I certainly didn't want to do! 20. cheers mate.. that's not too bad, more then I expected! A bit of extra poke can't hurt till I jump back into my next T!
  21. I thought of a V8 too, but finding a decent second hand one was the trick! I reckon a fairmont V8, with a few minor mods would be awesome I've already thought of a flash tune for a little extra grunt But I think I'll leave her be, and save my money for my next XR6T/XR8 or whatever I decide to buy in the next few years!
  22. cheers Jack, I might have to have a look around and see if I can see anything out of place.. geez the engine bay looks bare and empty without a turbo!!
  23. it's due for a service in a few thousand kms.. so I'll mention it then. I was thinking throttle body.. Nothing major as of yet, and it doesn't drop revs when in drive, so it can't be anything too major! *touch wood*
  24. hey guys my recently purchased fairmont seems to drop revs to about 250rpm after I've been driving it and select park when I've reached my destination. I'm not overly fussed, because usually when I've selected park, it means I wanna turn the car off anyways Unless of course I'm hopping out to open the garage like today. It doesn't happen if I've just started the car, or re-started the car.. only if I've been driving around a little bit. Sometimes it stalls, other times it doesn't.. but it always drops revs when I put it in park. Any ideas??
  25. Hey guys, Well, having recently got rid of my XR6T and stepping into a BA MKII Fairmont, I'm thinking of a tune. Mainly to add a little more power (coming from a 300rwkw makes it feel like a 4cyl) but also increase it's fuel economy. I'm really not too fussed on getting much power out of it, as I'm only going to own it a few years. Just wondering what sort of kws people have got from a tune only? Would it be worth it? I'm pretty content with what I have at the moment, but I just thought I'd make the enquiry. Cheers Jimmy
