BALLBREAKER

Prior to racing, the dte was about 50km. I put $10 in and then straight into th track. I bumped into Joe(XRSEX) and he gave me some octane booster on suspicion the car was runnign lean. We only put half the bottle in as the fuel was low, but it made no difference. As soon as the night ended, I went straight out and filled the tank full. Had a few WOT's on the motorway and it didn't seem to be doing the surge/studder. I wanted to do a uey and go for another run down the strip. Anyway, looks like I might end up going back to HPF again, and let them have a tinker. Rob Hi Rob I was there 2 silver F6 ill make u feel better,I had 2 runs with a record breaking 13.6 & running 330 rwkw only, with a full tank of juice Anyway 1st run I was frying 1st & 2nd then shifted earlly into 3rd next I was drifting in into the other lane.2nd run half pedal thru 1st , 2nd & then taking 3rd up too 4000 rpm before planting it & it still was squeeling. I was running 245 TAs G force ,It was 100% humidty too much due on the track.Iam going again in 2 weeks with slicks. I can see a 13.5 on its way. ←

Strange concept.. I know what you mean, but I have driven many tunes in my ute. What does this say about the 12.80's and 12.90's I was running with other guys tunes?? Are they mid 13second tunes and utter rubbish???? Pretty easy to lay blame to a bad drive or bad tune. At the end of the day, no-one is even close to this time with the level of modification this car has seen ( or not seen ) as the case may be.. Ever wondered how a 1.8 60' is possible?? Mate I've had the thing in 6th with the speedo needle on the stop at 270 and it's like having a concrete mixer in the boot , bit toooooooo hairy at that speed for more than a couple of seconds, just in case something broke The car has been ripped apart from one end to the other and everything checked more than once trying to find this vibration. Hi guys didnt notice my post back up.As you can see no 1 has broken into the 11 sec in a manual. YOU just lose to much boost at the time of gear change even if u flat shift & when the power comes u just go side ways,,great fun if u want to play but that's about it,Its really got me stufft.Was thinking to get retuned to bring boost in quicker but what for just to burn more rubber.look at simmon from extrem his running 430 to 440 rwkw he builds moters & high peformance cars every day of his life,,& he will be lucky to get into 11 sec on streer rubber. Even Adam still holds the recored for a auto ,,no one out done him yet & how long ago was that take my hat off to the guy.Anyway if use work it out y the manuals are so slow with huge KW let me know.

Hi simmon,Why is the BF making so much power 246 WITH 8PSI id be very happy with that kind of boost,, great work as allways ,,that's still less boost than a stock BA F6. why can you explain .My car made 215 rwkw with 1800 ks. Is it the dual vvt if it is can uyou flash BF programe into a BF F6,,have tryed this yet? CHEERS BB ← Mate its a combination of things, Cams yes, unfortunatley the reason why the BF has been able to use the VCT is because of its PCM It uses a different one compared to the BA, so you cant just flash in the BF one :(. again thanks guys ← thaks Simmon,keep up the hard work mate .CHEERS BB

Jet I agree with most of your post,, mate & you said your new T is great ,,Your first one must have given you a sh*t load of problems.This is my second one as well but its a F6 when I up graded thinking F6 would be a better car all round & dealer said when you buy a FPV you get better service,,that's just sales man crap.I would pay for my dealer to fix my car if he said yes we can fix it,, but its gona cost you x amount.When a new car is made and before they release they test it right..what do they go around the block & say its OK,, its ready for production I just cant understand how I can get 2 with problems.People says go to another dealer,,iam up to my 3rd dealer

For a perfect example see the above post. I can imagine the service manager just tuning out as soon as he realises it's his favourite customer again. That said not all dealers are perfect, and some vehicles are absolute shockers, but to brand the entire model as a failure is well and truly over the line. ← There is sum ignorant people out there,,I have owned xrs for 3 years now & been to three dealers with all most the same result yes iam going to try an other dealer soon. Just an other bad result was alarm was playing up from day 1,,they had the car for 3 days.. another quality defect give you another ok. seen a mark on top of buperbar its a small line about 3 cm,, its caused the boot lid must toutch when you close boot, another a small round plastic cover on throttle body its been missing for a long time time didnt mention these 2 defects to the dealer.When I picket my car up I went over my car they didnt fix these problems so I turned a blind eye to this as well,,,dont forget I was in for 15000 ks service arnt they supose to go over the car with a fine tooth comb..at least I thought they would as it cars first service.Iam starting to think maybe its not the dealers & it ford pty ltd its self maybe there not paying the dealers right for warrenty work or somthing like that,,,I really dont know but the add did say,, NOBODY KNOWS YOUR FORD LIKE WE DO,,,

Hi Ian,FORD,, put away all the drive line problems,,how about RUST not my car but others on this forum 2 year old cars,, can you really actcept that its veeeeeery poor quality FORD needs to act on these small but very irritating issues..& anyone with half a brain would not call enybody name[ specially] your ford sevice team. For CITRIC ACID XR its called luck mate some people are born with it & sum not I hope you dont have any warrenty work needed on your car & tell you they cant fix it,,& then will see how you feel about that.CHEERS BB

Im havin probs with me brand new BF T with only 2100KMs on the clock. 1 month old so the other problems that ppl are having I want to know about as well and then hope that I dont ever get them. If ppl want to put down the quality of our cars, they have every right to. Besides they bought them and own them and if stuffs not right with them, then speak up! ← Hi mate that what iam trying to find out & really dont care how big or small.I owned 2 ba turbos the last a F6 has leaking diff & squeeling brakse & same sort of vibrations that to hard to swollow ..& they aint got a fix yet for the brake squeel.Its owe own fault for not getting together & giving it to FORD MOTOR CAMPANY.yes I do love my F6 & will find it very hard to part with her,,but a peformace is a whole package to me,,,the clunck diff I can live with & the sh*t sub easy $ 200 will fix that but vibrations diff leaks squeeking brakse is beyond a joke. Yes there is is a few really good Ts but I can ashore you by these post so far there is less than10 % perfect T ,,BUT because we are on these forums & need to find out whos doing what & we may be a little lead footed ill say 20% at best.CHEERS BB ← Ford have released an updated sub for the premium sound pack, I had one put in under waranty a couple of weeks back and it's heaps better than the old one. That's interesting F6 UTE because I reckon that's what they actually did to my BF which had the clicking steering. I was reading in the Age today how a when a recall is not a recall. It's when it's a TSB or (I think) a dealer service bulletin. Anyway, the article in the Age Wed 26 April said that, "The Expensive Daewoo Late model camira has been recalled 20 times since 1997. In the sme period, the Ford Falcon has been recalled 8 times, Mitsubishi Magna 3 times and Toyota Camry 2 times. Expensive Daewoo tops the recall list in raw numbers with 51 recalls since 1997, an average of 3.5 recalls for every 100,000 cars sold. Ford has issued 37 recalls, an average of just over 3 recalls for every 100,000 cars sold. Mitsubishi had 28 recalls, an average of nearly 6 recalls per 100,000 cars sold. Toyota is the benchmark with 25 recalls with an average of less than 2 recalls per 100,000 cars sold." Mate that a other problem wih typhoon ,,front bar just sits too low,,I was thinking about lowering my f6 but na its not worth it,,its bad enough worrying about other drivers on the road,,,worrying about drivways gutters speedhump sh*t not worth it,,I might just dump the rear right on its ars.And the only reson for that I have spring from my old T & just cant stand looking at them sitting there when I open 1 of the draws in my garage. ZAP F6 iam not here to bag no once car so iam really sorry if effended,,,but 10% dont think so,,, I really think same got this post wrong.All they have to say yes no warrenty that's it & to people who think this is bullsh*t dont post.CHEERS BB
