a mate and I grabbed the engine block out of the scrap bin all the other bits had to go back to ford. so I will get some pics of the block and the pice that broke off and put up soon.

I was at the local ford dealer the other day and they had an xr6t that they where fitting a new engine too. I asked what had happened too the engine and the mechanic said the car had an after market intercooler fitted and as a result it over heated which blow the head gasket and then pumped water in too the cylinders casing the engine to hydraulic lock up which bent the rods and smashed a section off the block and bent some valves. No warranty because of the mod and a $13.000 bill to replace the engine. My question is do xr6t’s run hotter with a bigger front mount intercooler? could over heating cause so much damage.

Just look at all the other 4wd performance cars like evo's wrx's and gtr's when they are modded the tranny is on borrowed time they are always braking them

its a white plug about the size of the small box of smarties. It’s tucked right up at the back of the fuse box. mt Xbox goes in to get modded tomorrow so it will disply on the screen all my wiering is in reddy to go.

The soft mod is modding the xbox with just software there is no chip You use a memory card to up load a program.

can you run XBMC when you soft mod the xbox or do you need to have it chipped?

yep I got my kit today I had a look at your photo and it dose look like your missing the inverter. the power lead you use from the xbox to the inverter is just your xbox power lead. I have got my kit set up but need to get my xbox chiped befor I can use it cheers jono.

Doc1.doc dosent look like you have the inverter? my kit is second hand and has an upgraded inverter because the asl one blow up! the power cable is the standard xbox one it plugs into the inverter. my problem is that one of the wiers in the icc plug came out and iam not shour of where it gos can you have a look at your plug and see if it matchs my crap darwing of my plug the arrows are where I think my wiers where. cheers jono.

Iam doing the very same thing as you I got my all conected but as I put the conecctor in to the ICC one of the pins came out and iam not shore in wich spot it goes can you put up a pic of the plug so I can see the wiers. cheers jono.

How do I change my Xbox from PAL to NTSC ther dosent seem to be anoption in the menu. if any one no's how it would be Appreciated. cheers

Dose any one know where I can get my Xbox fitted with a mod chip and XBMC And possibly a larger HDD. I have brought a kit to fit the xbox in the t and want to be able to do more with it. Like play mp3’s and watch divx movies. cheers jono.

I believe the use of a turbo timer isn't solely for cooling. If you shut an engine down straight away after a hard blast the turbo is still spinning at incredible speeds but there is no oil flow or pressure to keep the turbo properly lubricated and the turbine shaft floated so damage can quickly occur. If you leave the engine running you are cooling the turbo but you are also slowing the turbo down while still providing oil to lubricate it. ← This is true in a plane bush type turbo but the t’s run a ball bearing turbo so the turbine shaft doesn’t need to be floated by oil press so no damage is done.

Most of all, go there with the intention of driving the car home I definitely want to drive it home. thanks for the info.
