What sort or speakers and sub should I be looking at if I just want to do a straight swap with no amp?

Hey guys, Looking to upgrade the "premium sound" speakers in my FG as one of the back ones is blown. I wanna keep the stock look and hide everything, so I am not looking for new amps I just want replacement speakers and a sub. I was going to go with the JBL 8" sub and was thinking some alpine splits for the front and some 2-way ones for the back. I was wondering if anyone can recommend any reasonably priced speaker and also has installed splits in the front and kept the factory tweeters? Thanks Roweyy

I'll check the dates on them and make sure I they look in good order. Feels like such a waste to skid them since they have so much tread but I'll see how I go!

Hey guys Just bought a set of gtp rims. They are still on the original factory tyres but have been garaged for the past 3 years. I was wondering whether they would still be ok to use? They are Dunlops if that makes a difference? Thanks Roweyy

I'm not too keen to get my guards rolled. What would be the widest setup I could go in 20" without having to do so?

I found a staggered set on ebay that was 20x8.5 +32 fronts and 20x10.5 +35 rears. Would this scrub at all?

I ended up going SSSL all round with Monroe's. Pretty happy with the results.

Just wondering if I can put in SSSL springs in without rolling guards, with 245/30/20 tyres and 20 x 8.5 +36 offset rim? Also would like to minimise scrubbing if anyone else has any other recommendations for spring heights? Thanks Roweyy

The vibration is through the car not the steering. I went to a tyre place today and advised me to get them rerolled. Guess I learnt the hard way when it comes to buying 2nd hand rims!

I can't really afford bilsteins or koni reds at the moment so what would be a better option?

Hey everyone, I just bought some second hand 20's and had them fitted and balanced. I noticed a vibration in the car when travelling over 80km/h on smoother roads. One of the back rims has a slight flat spot which may be the cause? I usually run 40psi in the tyres. Any help would be great! Thanks Roweyy

Hey guys, I'm looking to lower my Fg xr6 N/A. I mainly use it for highway travel and have the boot pretty full with stuff sometimes. I don't have a huge budget so I was thinking of going with a set of these shockers and SSSL springs all round. Also the car s on 20s at the moment. Thanks Roweyy

Hey guys, I've been looking at lowering my fg for a little while since then I have been accepted into Uni, so I am on a bit of a budget (around $1000.) I've had a look around and the sssl combo looks pretty nice I also want one of those camber arms for the rear. I'll be mainly be driving on country roads and sometimes in the city. I would like to try my the springs on my factory shocks except I have heard of them dying pretty early and would like to keep them in case I need to return to stock. Just wondering what you guys think is the best option go with factory shocks, cheap shocks or save for some decent shocks like bilsteins or koni reds? Cheers Roweyy
