  1. Yeah definitely agreed, don't want to become a "statistic"... I went and saw the car in question today as well. Looks to be the goods! Has a few small dings as a car of that age would but it definitely looks a goer! Only crap thing is I won't be able to drive it till November!! :(
  2. Thanks I was thinking of just doing the exhaust, growler intake and tune... Just so I can get used to a bit more power for a while, then save up for injectors, fuel pump and valve springs and get it re-tuned to handle more once I get used to it. Does that sound stupid?
  3. Thanks for all the advice guys... Keep it coming I know the car has just had a brand new clutch put in it... Not sure on specs but it is new! My dads already seen the car and I'm going to check it out tomorrow so ill ask the guy what he put in it... What kind of money would I be up for roughly with all that?
  4. Yeah I know I've driven them before a few years ago... very different cars! Would some suspension work fix it up a bit or not worth it? It's not going to be a track car or anything... just a weekender
  5. aaahhh yes the bug... I've heard it's very addictive ones it bites! For someone like me who is coming off their P's and driving a laser, I think that sort of power will be more than enough for me for a good while anyways.
  6. Hi all, first time poster, long time lurker! I'm about to make a purchase on my first turbo car and I've been thinking about mods already. I'm thinking that I just want to get a cat-back, growler CAI and tune. The car in question is a BA MK2 xr6 turbo, 6 speed manual with 120,000kms. I was wondering with these three mods, would I HAVE to look at injectors, fuel pump and springs or should I get a reliable 220-230 RWKW without them? I'm not after massive power clearly, just after a sweet induction noise and exhaust. (Call me stupid but that's what I like.) I only really have up to $2000 to spend which is why I ask the question. Any help would be much appreciated.
