  7. that's sh*thouse luck mate. Hopefully all it will cost you is a new pan. Can't help but wonder if the ZF's had a real metal pan instead of an icecream container lid if situations like this could be avoided?
  8. If someone in Vic has a BA XR6T or XR8 ute shoot me a PM, I've got a mate that's looking for a new ute.

Great topic! Driving every day it never ceases to amaze me the extremely poor standard of most drivers out there... I saw some fcuken moron today, holding up an ambulance in the right hand lane of a two lane road. Friggen sirens and lights and all and the moron still couldn't work out that they were supposed to get out the fcuken way... in the end the ambo had to pass on the left!

  11. PPG make some gearsets for T5's, perhaps give them a call. Might work out cheaper than importing G-Force stuff.
  12. Best time for my ute is 13.90 @ 101mph. 2.1sec 60 foot. Standard boost/exhaust/no edit. On 18in Nankang NS2's dropped to 22ish psi. Tyres have more than enough grip to get a nice stink out of the clutch. It has a 13.8 in it but I quit while the clutch and trans are still working... - John
  13. Heads up for everyone, I noticed that the paint had started to come off in a few places on my crossover pipe. I pulled the bugger off while I was chasing a boost leak (TB hose turned out to be the culprit, had a split in it). With it sitting on the bench, I hit it with the compressor to get some dust off it, and some big chunks of the black wrinkle paint came off too. The alarming part is that it seems to be painted on the inside, and the paint inside seems to be just as crap. Really would not want any of this sh*t finding its way into your motor. I think I'll be dropping mine in the cold tank and painting it again with a pressure pack... Is this a problem on all XR6T's, I think I read a thread about this a while ago, and it was something that Ford was replacing under warranty? (mine is out of warranty)... - John

I'll throw in my $0.02. Wash my ute with Meguiars Gold Class, and chamois dry. Brings it up a treat. Haven't really found a product that keeps it that way for long though. Occaisionally polish with Meguiars Deep Crystal polish, which I use on my other car and works really well- but I'm not that happy with it on Silhouette. Would be interested to hear other dark colour owners recommendations on polish and wax. - John
  15. http://www.orsm.net/fem/typicalforddriver/ It's orsm, so fairly not-work-safe banners. Surely someone knows who did this... Sorry if its been posted before. - John
