Which Gbox & Why? 6 Speed Man Or 6 Speed Auto?

I have a 2012 factory XR6T manuel. It's awesome to drive though I find it sluggish off each gear. Maybe that's how I drive. I've always got 400kms out of a tank. But since I've been changing gears at 2000rpm (b4 turbo kicks in) I get 500kms. Awesome cars though!!
