  1. Yep remember the night, as I said earlier I have to go without for a couple of weeks but hope to be at Calder on the 16th as I want to find out how quick the car is
  2. Thanks, I have never actually seen it do that, but would like to as a mate told me it does that.
  3. Nobody should be driving it and it would have been me as I have just pulled the FG off the road for a week to fix an oil leak that's pouring out all over my garage now and as the engine had to come out for that I thought would replace rings and bearings as car has done a hard 85,000 Klm's. But it was supprising that I was behaving in the C63.
  4. Yes, I do also have the red FG, sorry for the confusion but have been swapping numberplates around on my cars.
  5. Hacker, at my age I have just worked out how to use a computer and that took me 48 years
  6. I saw a mate today that mentioned it to me and ofcourse curiosity got the better of me
  7. Hi Guys just curious where did you see my C63?
  8. No its all BA still, the only 2 things that are not is trans (which is something most quick BA's have changed, and we put a 9" diff in) everything else is still all BA.
  9. Congratulations to Rob, Daniel and Dion on their efforts with the car. Its never easy getting a full weighted BA to get of the line in a hurry but never the less its in the nines and a new record to boot on their next outing I imagine. Regards Mitch & Damien
  10. Well that is what it was built for, no expense was spared and that is why it has taken so long. Coverting a BA from IRS to live axle four link setup without cutting anything took a bit and all the components that went into the engine were prototypes as they had not being manufactured before. What has also added to the problems is that we had sold GTech Performance so we have been finishing the car at home and with no hoist it gets a bit tricky. I will get some photos and post if you guys would like.
  11. Hi guy's have not had chance to get online for ages the car is coming along well, just got a little sideracked with the restoration of my XA GT. The 9" is in and the suspension is in and the cage is being bult at the moment, engine is finished so I imagine it will be running around May/June.
  12. This engine was never built as a serious one, it was a bit of test and see. It is fine as a good strong street engine but the rods and crank are not strong enough to rev to 8500 - 9000 rpm, where the new one will. the head on this engine has just been cleaned up where as the new one was properly flowed on a bench, we have also added a few other things to help support the billet crank and hold evrything together. I suppose I want to see what the full potential of a BA engine is when everything is done and you dont have to worry about things staying together. By the way will be selling this engine soon if anyone is interested!!
  13. I was amazed too, was very pleased by how well evrything worked together.
  14. The standard fuel rail does have a return to the tank, but feed line and return line are both too small for what we are needing to achieve so we needed to replace the factory fuel rail to increase the size of lines and a better fuel pressure reg. Climax Airbrushing did the Falcon on the rocker cover, if you have seen any of their other work at any of the car shows they are amazing from little things to whole cars. They painted the rocker cover as a gift for me so I dont know how much it would cost. As far as the mechanical work on the car, it has all bar trans and suspension been done by G-Tech Performance in Campbellfield VIC, it is my car and not a business car but my brother does own G-Tech so therefore I get a resonable deal on work done price wise. If you ever wish to see the car in the flesh or want to go for a ride to see how it is still very driveable it is at G-Tech most of the time. Thankyou for the compliments on the cars looks!!
  15. Sort of, I am running the in tank pump into a a 15 litre foam filled surge tank and then 2 044 pumps feeding an aftermarket fuel rail through 1/2" fuel line then a 3/8" return line to an aftermarket pressure reg, then back to the surge tank then bak to the factory fuel tank.
  16. The car made 423 RWK at 12 PSI @ 4200 rpm at the Show Off car Show I could not rev the car anymore as it started to lean out. It was not tuned at that stage as we rushed to put the car together for the show and managed to get it there at 1030 Sat morning. At that point the car still had the in tank pump + one 044 pump. Since then I have decided to redo the entire fuel system (fuel rail, pumps, fuel cell, lines and pressure reg) so I cant even tell you what its making at the moment. I only took it out Friday night as I have missed not being able to drive it.
  17. Hi Guy's looking forward to coming out to play soon. Yes it was me out last Friday night and yes the car was not a 9 second car on the night as at present it is only running on 10 psi as it has only got its factory in tank pump fitted. I am picking up my fuel cell this Friday and fitting it and the 2 new pumps. Then we will be able to tune the car to its full potential with this engine. Craig is right in saying that power does mean quick times as we have been playing with the suspension set up for a while now and that's where the possability of the 9" live axle might replace the IRS. We just want to have another go with the IRS before we rip it out. The delema is that we have tried all along to keep it a street car with its original rear end.
  18. Hi Guys not holding back at all. Thanks for your kind comments about my car. I worked 72 hours straight with Damien fro G Tech to get it finished for the show. Its not quite finished yet, still some minor work to be done. Yes we did give it a quick squirt on the dino at the ShowOff Show as the car is only runing at present only of the external wastegate, the boost controller is not conected as yet and the car still only had the map in it for the old set up. We had a lamda meter conected to it and gave it half to 3/4 throttle just to see how it felt as we had not driven the car at all. we only reved the car to 3500 - 4000 RPM and it made 423 RWKW. Hope to see some of you guys at Drag Tag on Wed night and maybe we can chat then.
