  2. our turbo diesel gets new oil every 5000 (no matter what) .... I have concerns about the XRT requiring an oil change every 15000 ... "oil's ain't oils" my XRT is getting its 1st oil change and filter at 3000 !! as for the rest ...I'll wait and see
  3. at work we have got a ten year old Toyota 80 series Turbo Diesel Landcruiser..... it weeps a lttle from the various seals, done about 300000 km ... and we simply can't kill the thing (as much as we try ) love turbos .... including the Jap ones .....

I think the 200sx reminds me most of the XRTs (as far as Jap turbos go) .... rear wheel drive .. well balanced .... the XRT has no "real" turbo lag and a sh!t load of torque early in the rpm, consequently in real terms can not be compared to Jap turbos having owned a 200sx and driven lots of blown-ricers, it is apples compared to oranges the cars we are talking about all have their good and bad points and are all fun to drive

    Xr6 Turbo Ute

    240T ... you guys won't be disappointed !!! I absolutely love my ute, it feels the best balanced out of the XRT/XR8/Pursuit and is a dream to drive ... not as bad as I thought it would be in the wet too (which was a real bonus)... the black ... so is mine ... awesome !!!! (keeps you busy washing but who cares lol) .. fingers crossed for you

    2 Door Ba Xr8

    the front doors are enormous, plenty of rear room (as per 4door)... a bit claustrophobic (spelling) in the rear as the windows don't open... I didn't like it much as I had hoped ... 35 gorillas to shread off two doors is a little over the top for me ... (my XRT ute cost me that much (on the road!!!))

    richdave ... only one remote for utes .... Ford made me pay $80 extra for the second one after I spent $900 with them for an alarm ... which only used the Ford "keypad" (yes they handed the car over armed and only one remote to turn it off .... the spare key set the alarm off !!! )

    the XRT utes dislikes :( 1. no lockable fuel cap 2. only one remote key pad 3. the car jack just lies loose in the cabin 4. the 17" alloys could have had lock nuts 5. traction control might be handy 6. option for third brake light might have been handy 7. premium sound is a rip off (in a ute) 8. could have upgraded the reversing lights likes 1. the rest
  14. I have a Feb build ute and my better half has a Nov build sedan .... I reckon her's is louder than mine..... She reckons mine is louder than hers .... she gernerally wins

  16. mondie .... such hard decisions eh ! :D our first was a phantom sedan (XRT) and that made the choice for the second one really hard ... I would have loved a phantum ute but our driveway would have looked "obsessive" to say the least (though who really cares B) ). went for a black in the end (silhouette -- can never spell that :( ) oh times are tough .... it's going to be a long wait but you can do it

  18. :o DAZZ you promised mate ..... the TT's hey?! :lol: An admission : I'm glad that my XRT ute has twin pipe exhaust outlets like the XR8 and Pursuit .. looks gutsy and a bonnet bulge looks great on the dog's Cobra B) but that's how they came .... and I'm one of these people that acquires the article for not only performance but also looks ... the XRT looks fine to me if I was doing serious mods on the XRT I'd get a fibreglass bonnet like the Cobra's and then I'd loose a few kilo's (instead of putting extra ones on) .... a fibreglass rear deck as well (on a sedan) with a serious statement of a spoiler .... heck the sky is the limit !!! yeah ... it's hard ... but for me I would have bought the XR8 if the bulge was occupying 90% of my brain lol cheers oh ... ps .. the boss220 doesn't get a bulge does it? why ? (dazz - that's your invite to post ... just kidding)

    Performance

    200sx is a riceburner but it is not "rice" it is a great and well balanced car went from a 200sx to XRT and I miss the quick handling response of the lighter car but love not bashing my head on the sunroof ... they are both fast, XRT has more "brute" and the 200sx more "finesse" unfortunately there are too many "riced" 200sx about now, let us hope that the same doesn't happen with the XRT oh ... I'm convinced that the auto XRT is faster the manual ... SEAT OF THE PANTS
