  1. Yeh I was under the impression ku31 was being replaced by ku39 as well? But then kyle got some which were 2015? I had 275/35/18 ku39s a while back....stupidly better than the falken pt 722 (damp/slightly wet = slidey times). But yeh I was sold them as the replacement for ku31and this was back in 2014. I was lucky....must have been a glitch in their system cause I paid around $220 delivered IIRC.
  2. ^^ It hasn't been confirmed or even 100% happening....sometimes the plans fall through. But this is the thread: Not sure how many FGs will be there on the day, I.e. how many suspension setups for you to look at. But by most accounts, the common theme is to go SSL/SSSL combo....and the only people who seem to scrape have either low hanging dump pipe (I think the xforce one is low?) or people who have mega stanced wheels (OEM wheels wont rub). If you have the coin you can always go Shockworks coilovers....but that's a good 2k right there (but everyone raves about how good it is) although its recommended to leave it at 350mm HTG all the way round for optimum setup. (which Im pretty sure is higher than the SSL/SSSL combo).
  3. Man that is crazy....never realised how much damage occurred!!!! Rekon it will be a write off???
  4. Yeh I would assume it was properly tuned then....unfortunately I cant be of any help cause I don't know sh*t when it comes to mechanics....hopefully it doesn't cost too much to diagnose. Update the thread for sure if you figure it out
  5. do you know whether it was actually on the dyno or whether its just a email tune? I got in trouble on the other forum for saying pingtune; and a mod made his point that John knows how to tune and that peoples comments are merely hearsay and that his tunes are good. but I still call BS lol
  6. Thanks for that. Its looking more and more likely that my suspension shop just didnt think about the 3 spring seat heights that the bilsteins have (I assume all bilsteins have this). It was the day before a public holiday, so ill cut them some slack lol Cause when they whacked my SSL fronts in, it dumped to literally more than half way down the sidewall (and was same 245/40 tyre like yours). And had the forward rake even with the SSSL rears in... FGX 40T if you come to the next maintenance day/chit chat day, then you can compare my rears if needed. My fronts have some AU/BA springs in it....lol It did drop it maybe 5-8mm from stock...but mainly cause of the bilsteins height adjustment I.e stock shocks would probably make them go higher than stock.
  7. ^^^ madness!! $500+ tyre right there lol would be sick though
  8. Yeh but demmo is cray cray lol Nah I think I understand his logic. He obviously is happy with the roughly 220-240rwkw in his turbo....so just wants cheap mods to make his daily feel not too far off. But depends what he defines as "cheap".
  9. What barnz has mentioned is the best path (if you like it quieter)....although I rekon you are doing it the wrong way around; but hey its your money make a thread with pics if you end up modding it....would be interesting to see how it goes!
  10. +1 for age.... I've seen 6 year old rubber with cracks all over the sidewall....was on a set of rims that I suspect were also left in the sun for a year or more. But for it to properly split through the sidewall is interesting. Did you get any warranty or was their claim that you must have run them low and too bad so sad? Got a set on my car (40 psi cause 245/35/19)....and ive run them on my 18s previously and no issues.
  11. I wanna try the KU36 one day.....not too much more expensive in my size anyways
  12. you know what sucks kyle.....pretty sure the PMU has been available for the rears for a little while now (assume 328mm terry/F6 rears)
  13. He has a point though...............................................
  14. but why? its a work car....enjoy it STOCK If you're looking for more oomph, put your pennies into the turbo cause it would be a lot more rewarding. Is your 09 turbo stock? I'm not going to be much help here....so I'll let others chime in. My comment above still stands....I would source a cheap, good condition full exhaust (just to give it some noise)....maybe go 19" rims (if leaving stock suspension); but I personally would lower it too (just depends on the types of roads you go over in your work duties) then maybe a k&n panel filter with a hole cut in airbox. Cant really think of too much else you can do that is 'cheapish' and adds power (other than what is mentioned above?) .... also maybe pics of your cars will help people come up with answers.......hahaha
  15. Hey Marco....I was trolling their ebay page last night....theres a full 4" dump tapering to 3.5" and apparently matching up to the stock catback (and others). Its $895 RRP.... I dunno how long its been on the market for (and if I was reading right he also does a twin 2.5" catback system for the FG too - but that wasn't a listing on ebay so possibly early days?). I'm kinda tempted to sell my cat only pipe; but I don't think there will be much difference at the low 300 end on 98. Plus maybe I'd have to do the wastegate port + flapper mod and you know how I am with my budget lol Edit: just read your post completely wrong....thought you were asking if there was a venom dump pipe available on its own
  16. nothing dude.....save your money for a turbo car just put a nice exhaust, hole in intake + k&n filter, maybe one of those powerbond underdrive kits, then just make it look sweet.... sure you can maybe get 180-200rwkw eventually....but that's only going to happen after you spend bulk, and then you'll be pissed that the same amount of money would net you so much more gains on a turbo vehicle.
  17. Noob question but where abouts is the engine number on the block? Google said right rear section?....is it visible with jacks or need a hoist?
  18. Surely they would be bolt on spacers.....25mm slip on would be craziness? lol OP car looks good.....didnt realise you could use that smoke plastidip on wheels look forward to more updates as they happen!
  19. Yeh I just meant if it was a daily (cause peak hour is sh*t in a manual)....but one of my cars will be manual, cause miss the third pedal sometimes.
  20. http://www.drive.com.au/video-cars/video-car-reviews/2016-ford-focus-rs-first-drive-video-review-20160125-49is1.html I am actually really diggin this car.....would be the perfect daily (actually perfect would have been some kind of awesome ZF or DSG type box).... I think it will be really hard to decide when I look for my next car....both sprint models excite me, but I'd probs go a XR8 if I keep my FG...maybe we can be a 3 car family (FG XR6T, XR8 Sprint and Focus RS)...one can dream right? lol
  21. Could be true....but would assume there is already some 2016 stock. I remember someone recently posting a thread here saying December 2015 is the last manual xr6t available, so quite possibly the last stock of autos are reserved for the sprints only and no more XR6T.... I thought Ford was closing the falcons mid year? Therefore would tie everything in and perhaps they will release their answer for a U.S. equivalent mid year....so coppers will get either 2015 built cars (rarely get turbos or XR8's anyways) or get whatever the replacement will be (or more than likely still go with commonwhores until they stop too)...
  22. Do you have a full size spare? Was trolling gumtree and thought these looked familiar. sh*t tyre, but should be able to knock them down... http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/baldivis/wheels-tyres-rims/ford-ba-fpv-18inch-single-rim/1104850147?ea=5802592&utm_source=trigger&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=saved_search Even with baby on the way, im sure super rich fifo can spare a yellow note
