They're definitely the best looking wagon around. Would it be going too far in saying that I think the wagon is actually better looking than the sedan?

Guys, The last couple of weeks the transmission on my high mileage BF Mark II XR6T (223,000KMS) has been making a whining noise when cold which goes away after five minutes of driving. (when the car warms up). The transmission was serviced at around 185,000KMS. You guys think it could be an oil issue?...Or does a transmission whine mean that death is imminent.?

Yeah, in regards to interior I have sat in a VF SS, and to me it looks very modern.(I actually like it allot) Getting straight back in the FG you can really see how its interior is getting out dated. Though driving an FG XR6T just makes up for everything. I have had mine for 2 years now and even though its stock as a rock I still get excited driving it. I have driven more modern cars, which are less powerful and after a while I just get bored no matter how modern the interior looks.I literally crave getting back in my FG and experiencing that boost...lol Having said that, It would have been nice if the FG X did get an interior update also, as you would have just been improving an already great all rounder car.

Yeah, I think they are going to look not bad in real life. I'm also thinking they will look quite intimidating as police interceptors with all the lights on etc...(this is only my opinion of course)

Yeah to be honest I think 5k is being quite realistic if you want to move it. I bought it in 2008 for 19K, so that's 6 plus years of ownership roughly losing a bit over 2K each year. I think even if it had lower kms and was in great condition it wouldn't be worth exceedingly more anyway. I suppose they are worth what they are worth.

Guys, If I were to sell my BF Mark II XR6T, what sort of realistic price do you guys think I'm looking at to offload it? The car has done over 220,000kms, is in average condition, and is stock as a rock. I have looked on car sales and there seems to be a wide range of prices, and some of the higher ones seem to be a bit too optimistic. Anyone recently sold, or bought one?

From my experience a vibration like that is an unbalanced wheel, or a bent wheel.(probably stating the obvious here) Your spare wheel could be out of balance too... First thing I would do is go to a reputable place to get your wheels balanced. I have had a bent wheel which one tyre place couldn't pick up on their balancing machine for some weird reason. (even though I had the same vibration as yourself) When I took the car into Ford they did a free a wheel balance when I told them I had vibrations at speed, and on their wheel balancing machine one wheel was buckled to the point where they couldn't believe the other tyre place never picked it up. I'm also thinking wether a bent stub axle would cause the car to vibrate...though first point of call would definitely be to get the wheels balanced.

Yeah I don't mind the swift, but if I need convincing then that might be telling you something. Even though I can see what's good looking about it, there's also something that is stopping me. When I bought the Nitro Blue car I didn't need convincing, it just looked right to me...

Yeah agree I like the nitro colour on my FG, but they stopped making it on the Mark II. Toying with the idea of updating the old BF with a used FG Mark II XR6T...and came across this green colour...I like it but don't want to get a colour that won't last the test of time and look ridiculous down the track... Yeah on the FG F6 the swift colour does look good...

I'm not the biggest fan of the colour green on a car, but it does look good on the falcon. I think its called Swift?

The rear end is growing on me, based on this pic...or artists impression, or whatever it is...lol I'm thinking the new look might make the FG look slightly out dated.

If you were in NSW you would probably go with the Beltronics STI Magnum, as the Spectre 4 Radar Detector Detector can't pick it up.

Actually the more recent photos of the rear end seem OK to me...maybe its growing on me...

Is there a chance the XR front end will look better in real life?...or are the lights pretty much similar to the G6E? Does the dash look any different to you guys?...(looking through the rear window)

Looks a bit like an Audi A4 rear end...hmmm...not a fan based on the G6E photo...maybe the XR might look acceptable...MAYBE...

Guys, I have a BF Mark II XR6T, as a second car which has done about 223,000kms...(totally stock). You guys think a car with that many kms would be able to handle a tune and some injectors without having something fall apart like the transmission etc? Am I asking for trouble by meddling with such a high km car?

I just read the article, it says there's still a chance the XR6T might get the FPV motor? In an ideal world if the XR8 is getting the GT motor, then it would make sense for the XR6T to get the F6 motor.(In an ideal world...)

Have they released any rear end shots? It does look like a hybrid between an FG XR and Taurus. I don't mind the look...I can see it growing on me.

I have heard there might be a possibility of a Brembo brake option...looks quite aggressive from the front end, from what I can gather anyway...like the blue colour too... Actually taking a closer look at the front calliper, it does look like a Brembo Calliper, either camouflaged or painted black... Actually the more I look at the front end pic of it, the more I like it...it just looks like it has that aggressive intimidating look...dam!!! Did they really have to discontinue making this beast, no other car does it for me!!!
