Lol I've seen that Late model camira as well, or one done up the same way. It was at the traffic lights at chermside on brisbane's northside. From a distance I thought it was a xr6, then when I got closer I thought WTF, it turned out to be a VT SS comodore in the xr6's exclusive colour. To make it worse, it had black GT stripes down the side! Talk about "I wanna be a ford" It looked pretty crap, I've seen ef and el falcons in the citric acid colour and even with the stripes, it is a bit try-hardish but it still looks ok, and one of them I saw looked fantastic, but this is just WRONG it's like me getting a typhoon and putting a clubsport badge, bodykit and wheels on it.

is there still network traffic when you unplug the internet connection from pc one? it could be that your 2nd pc has a program accessing the internet, could be a legitimate program updating, or it could be some form of spyware

I work for a Brisbane Toyota dealership, so if you want a new toyota pm me and I will get you a great price. Also I can get staff price at the local ford dealer and service center, but I think that may only be for me I dont think I can get that for anyone else. But yeah, anyone after a Toyota pm me, apparently the new Yaris coming out is going to turn the whole car market upside down, plus toyota is developing a new model, a large sedan bigger than the camry to compete with the LM's

I'm also looking for numberplates, as soon as it has been out for a month or two I'm ordering a f6 with 6sp auto, black. I thought of a few decent plates but I dont want to post them for fear of them being taken before I get my car. I'm also selling my ef2 gli for a ef2 xr6 or xr8 that I'm going heavily mod, so any suggestions as to suitable numberplates would be greatly appreciated. BTW im in queensland

I'm with tpg as well, $49.95/month, 1500Kb download, 256Kb upload, speed is throttled after 20Gb which for me happens about halfway through each month. If you get tpg make sure you pay the extra $70 or whatever it is for a 4-port router instead of the free modem they give you, it is a peice of crap, only usb connectivity and a lot of compatability problems so get the router instead it is quite good

did anyone see a toyota yaris there? I think someone said they were going to have one at the show. apparently they are going to be very popular
-
I agree with the first part, they do look AUish and HSVish, but maybe its just the pics. They still look better than the XR6T's though IMO. All in all I think they look nice, but I'll be sticking with the old wheels when I get one next year.

This is from someone who hasn't ever driven either, so take my comments with a grain of salt, I would say the GT looks a lot better, but the Typhoon isn't as common as the GT, which is very important to me as I want a car that no one else I know has. I'm currently saving for the F6, and I'm hoping that they don't become as popular as the GT by the time I'm ready to buy one. Also, SO BLOODY MANY XR6's and XR6T's and even XT's put those damn stripes on their cars these days that it isn't a novelty any more, you used to see a falcon with the stripes and you could bet it would be a GT or GTP, but these days I think there are more imitations on the road than the real thing. At least u don't see too many imitation Typhoons

to be honest I prefer the old colour, too much green in this one

searched google for some info on something to do with xr6t cant remember what is was specifically, but I ended up here, found lots of info I was reading the posts for 6 months before I decided to join recently

I was going to say option 3, but given what you said about the condition its in, I would have to say I would personally go option 4. it all depends on how much you value having brand new vs. nearly new, and how much money you have to spend. if you can afford it, I think the bf f6 will be f**king awesome with the 6sp auto, but if cash is tight I would say option 2

car looks/sounds awesome, and I love the stripes I think they really set it off

the tyres on the performance fords and holdens are very expensive especially for the 19' rims. I would hate to have someone at a dodgy dealership go out and do burnouts in mine. apparently they r now flagging falcons that they see at the race tracks or doing burnouts so the dealers don't have to cover them for warranty repairs on the drivetrain and gearbox etc. So if an owner does a burnout in their falcon they may void their warranty if someone from ford sees it, but the dealers themselves are still allowed to race and do burnouts in customer cars??????

I would rather a hotted up f6

that's a great price, I got a quote from my local fpv dealer and they wanted 5 grand more than that

not really, if you have a good quality sound system mp3's will sound like sh*t. I spent $4000 on mine, and there is a world of difference between mp3 disks and proper cd's. having said that, I think that the stereo in the falcons definately needs to support the mp3 format, even they hyundai's come with stereos that play them.

Im friends with someone who used to work as an apprencite mechanic at a major Expensive Daewoo dealership on the northside of brisbane, and he told me some of the things that happened there... like after they have fixed a car they "test drive" it, which usually means that a few of them will take it out for a spin and thrash the sh*t out of it. They sometimes take out two at a time and race them, they even put on different wheels on the back and take them out for burnouts. This happens every day, They let any staff drive them, even my friend who was 18 and just got his P's. Except one guy who wrote off a clubsport into a concrete barrier and an ss into pole wasnt allowed to test drive them without someone else in the vehicle. But the owner of the dealership knows about what happens and apparently doesnt care. When I get a xr6t im going to want to watch them the whole time it is getting serviced and come along for the test drive, I dont trust anywhere any more.

I have a stock ef2 gli and my friend has a stock ba xt, both auto, and when we raced they were both side by side the whole way

I think the new 6-speed auto will be just what the typhoon needs to become the car most people thought it would be to start with. I think it will make the car considerably faster than the manual version. also I don't know if this has changed or not but near the start of the year I got told by someone who works for ford that they were pulling the 6-speed auto directly from the jags. hopefully it will also shift gears a lot faster than the current auto. and apparently it can skip gears when under normal acceleration so you don't need to go through all 6 gears during everyday driving but when accelerating hard it will use all 6 gears

I didn't think the standard speakers were to bad. be careful when upgrading speakers, some higher end ones can sound fairly tinny without an amp, I had some competition pioneer 6x9's which had massive bass thru an amp but when getting 52 watts from my head unit they were crap, I got better bass from some $89 sony xplod 6x9s. also I've been looking at getting an xr6t myself and did a lot of research on ways to get a better sound system. the people I spoke to said that since the ford head unit doesn't have a pre-amp out or something, theres no way of getting the signal before it's been through the head units built in amp. so apparently you have got to de-amplify the sound, then clean it up, then put it through a bigger amp and on to your speakers. there is one type of amp that can handle a high power input but I was told not to get it for some reason I can't remember why. if you have the premium sound system I think it does have the rca inputs (put there for the optional gps) or something, I've seen pics of some falcons where they have got a dvd player hooked up to the head units display, apparently they're a very high quality display. I think the best solution is to get a second head unit. I've seen pics of falcons that have a second cd player installed underneath the first, they cigarette lighter has been removed and the cd player installed in front of the gear stick. apparently they look ok there, then you will have no problems in hooking up new speakers, amplifier and subs also I've asked around and NO ONE will modify the original head unit for you. aparently they are just WAY TOO TOUCHY. ie. if you turn it upside down the colour screen is permanently destroyed

I only have an ef2 gli with a few small mods, but I was at the lights next to what looked like a completely stock white corolla hatchback. it didn't have a loud exhaust or even mags, just the stupid hub caps they come standard with. I put my foot down to try to get in front of him to merge right, and when I got a cars length in front of him he just put his foot down and passed me like I was standing still. I spoke to him at the next set of lights and found out he has a worked celica engine in his corolla and claimed it does 0-100 in about 5 seconds!

no offense or anything but I really don't like it with no wing at all. the gt wing might look nice.

a security card like a credit card or something would be cool. put the card in and press the button to start the car, to stop the car just pull the card out.
