  1. Water / Meth injection before the throttle body adds around 50kw, keeps the intake temps low it was on an episode of Horsepower TV few weeks back they tested it. Quite interesting.
  2. My experience at 285rwkw with stock cooler was ok on the street, but at the track I got bad heatsoke.
  3. The MTA 750 is a great replacement and if I was looking to push more power than 350 that would be the way to go. The free flow upgrade of the little turbo dose have more response it is a fair bit different than stock, the graph on the photos don't really show it if you have them in front of you side by side there is a clear difference. Power to the ground is also quite different.
  4. I'm looking at tyres at the moment and cant decide what is better. I'm looking for quality wet and dry a tyre that will last around 18 month and used daily and probably 4 track days a year. I've read the F1 & Nitto Invos are good. which tyre should I be putting on 19" rim 245x35xR19 Any Help.
  5. Just do oil change every 5000 and clean earls filter on every third change or around 15000km mark and no problems
  6. The MTA 750 is also a great option and is very close to the response of the small FG turbo so would be ok for a daily I reckon . The low down response between the two would have to be very close I did try to post the graphs again but no luck this has happend to me in the past but eventually I get it to work. Another option if you want just PM me your email and I can get the graph to you that way. Cost on the MTA 750 give MTA a call I would be guessing but have to be around the $2,300.00 mark ?
  7. Cost for the FG Turbo upgrade to the MTA center and new billet wheel balanced (MTA 650 Model): $1100.00 and 12PSI Actuator $130.00 I think from memory to upgrade to a bigger turbo is around $2000.00. But depends what you want to do with your car to which way you should go. If the FG was just a spare car for adrenaline fun and just generally did track time you would go balls in and go bigger turbo and strengthen a lot of other running items on the car. With supporting mods build might be around $20,000.00 If the FG is a daily driver and also want a track weapon free flow (upgrade) the little turbo. With supporting mods the whole build prob around $12,000.00 Prices are including brake upgrade which will cost from $3,500.00 to $5,500.00 unless you get a lucky EBay break that can bring that cost down to around $2.500.00 all fitted prices approx.
  8. Supporting Mods: *725 ID Injectors. *Process West Surge Tank. *Street fighter Air Intake. *PWR Intercooler and piping. *XForce 4" Dump pipe & 3 1/2" full exhausts. * Atomic Valve Springs.
  9. The car had its final tune today and results where what I was looking for a 40rkw gain so the car is now running at 350rwkw. Running on average 16psi to 18psi max in the mid. Being the little turbo its still got its great quality's of quick fast spool up. unfortunately for some reason I can not post up the before and after graphs I will try again another day.
  10. why are atomic not at work so I carnt get parts sent to me. Not Happy Jan.
  11. Well more delays Atomic apparently are out of the office till Monday the 19th next Monday so I can't see the Atomic springs getting fitted till late next week at the earliest. But when its done and I have something to show you will know.
  12. Soon will be this week I have been put back a day with the tuner so the final result will be posted up on Friday. I do have the first chart from last week and the power cure is a lot better. The turbo dose spool up earlyer and certainly has a lot more pull it's an animal and I've only givin it half a squirt as waiting on atomic to get the valve springs delivered to the tuner. I don't have any figures on the boost yet it's been wound back to 330rwkw at the moment till the springs are done. I am running stock exaughst except for Venom dump and cat so will be limited to 350kw. But it has delivered everything that Mark at MTA said it would I'm verry happy with it. It is different with noise though, it's very quiet. I'll have the final chart before and after on Friday.
  13. MattyP you have a good build there with the right Mods.
  14. ok just know E85 runs a lot more fuel through the system.
  15. Gave it half a squirt today and she puts the power down different to the stock turbo, Im very happy with how it feels and that's powered down and not giving it a full boot full. Wednesday will be interesting.
  16. E85 is a different animal you need to upgrade injectors fuel pump or run a surge tank advisable maybe a new fuel filter and defiantly an E85 tune. This is not a road Im putting my car down ill stay on the PULP98 prefer BP buy the way.
  17. Well it was fitted today and went well to 345rwkw to valve float. So it has been backed off to 330 till Wednesday next week and change the valve springs and try again. Bit of a pain but I guess the valve springs were going to have to be done at some stage.
  18. I wont have anymore info until next Tuesday will post results then. Pics below of MTA 650 FG Custom Turbo:
  19. I'm currently on 315rwkw at 18psi on stock ford FG turbo and will keep it at that with this custom build to see what it will put out
  20. No won't give as much as the 750 as it has the bigger wheel and slightly bigger front housing but won't know what it will come in at untill on the car next week. I have told the tuner I don't want it to go past 350rwkw but will have to wait and see if it can get to that as well
  21. Hey all I've just had an FG mk2 turbo rebuilt by MTA with new billet 11 blade front wheel, 12psi actuator and waste gate ported. All has been balanced and tested ready for install. Goes on the car next week I will post up how it goes and what gains it produces next Tuesday.
  22. Its got to be electric you just have to have that vibration
