05 BA with about 118,000 km's and still going strong. Had new diff under warranty and few minor bits. Engine is fine. In past 12 months, replaced coils, cabin headlining, intake manifold gasket. Exhaust shields have been a nuisance like many others I hear! Still lotsa fun to drive and real glad I didn't buy a beige Camry, ha ha!

A Site Manager , a Car and a Mattress A Site Manager ran over an innerspring mattress on the highway, and decided not to worry -- and kept on driving. It caught on the undercarriage of the Ford. The ensuing jumble finally whipped around enough to tear a hole in the fuel tank. The subsequent lack of fuel is what finally brought the vehicle to its knees. She had managed to drive 30 miles, with a 60 pound tangle of stuff wrapped around the drive shaft. Site manager had it towed to a Ford dealership, and complained that the vehicle had a 'sort of a noise' when it was driving at high speeds. Attached are three photos of what they found at the Ford Dealership.................... The last photo is by far the best. "Sort of a noise" -- I'll bet it did!

I had a mate who was suicidal. He was really depressed, so I pushed him in front of a steam train. He was chuffed to bits. ================================================ A woman brings eight-year-old Johnny home and tells his mother that he was caught playing doctors and nurses with Mary, her eight-year old daughter. Johnny's mother says, "Let's not be too harsh on them.... they are bound to be curious about Sex at that age." "Curious about Sex?" replies Mary's mother. "He's taken her appendix out!" ================================================ I was reading in the paper today about this dwarf that got pick pocketed. How could anyone stoop so low?

Hey thanks guys for clearing this up and that the car is an XR6. With my failing eyesight I thought it was a Hyundai Getz with 17" mags. Ooh, shucks I better get off this guys case. At least he's a proud XR6 owner and can't criticise him for that

Car Surging Under Heavy Acceleration

Had this a while ago. It was as simple as changing the spark plugs for me. Problem solved. Sometimes the simple things work -
Hi, am in Cairns after joining this forum in NT a few years ago. More in Tsv than Cairns I think. Should catch up one day!

The Soldier and the Nun A soldier ran up to a nun. Out of breath he asked, 'Please, may I hide under your skirt. I'll explain later.' The nun agreed. A moment later two Military Police ran up and asked, Sister, have you seen a soldier?' The nun replied, 'He went that way.' After the MPs ran off, the soldier crawled out from under her skirt and said, 'I can't thank you enough Sister. You see, I don't want to go to Iraq ..' The nun said, 'I understand completely.' The soldier added, 'I hope I'm not rude, but you have a great pair of legs!' The nun replied, 'If you had looked a little higher, you would have seen a great pair of balls....I don't want to go to Iraq either.'

Hey, thanks tab. I'll try the car park thing. Sounds like a fun way to fix a problem. The cost is good too. Yeah, I think the squealing of the brakes is from the rear as far as I can tell. Maybe its that the parking brake was overtightened?

Had a few little probs for a while. One, the usual brake shudder when braking and that's common with Falcons and second, the handbrake needed adjusting. Decided to get them looked at. Well the brake shudder is gone after having the rotors machined and the handbrake is fine now. But now I have two other problems that weren't there before the service. The brakes squeak like crazy after they get warm and the squeak is there even if I'm not using the brakes. Second, the occasional vibration through the steering when moving at slow speeds like parking (again common prob with T's I hear), is there almost all the time now when turning a corner or doing a U-turn. The workshop said the only thing that they did apart from machining the discs and adjusting the handbrake was that they put my almost new tyres from the back to the front cos the fronts were worn a bit. They said the power steering needs a rebuild kit. Any clues on these?

A woman takes a lover home during the day while her husband is at work. Her 9-year old son comes home unexpectedly, sees them, and hides in the bedroom closet. Then the woman's husband also comes home. She puts her lover in the closet, not realising that the little boy is in there already. The little boy says, “Dark in here.” The man says, “Yes, it is.” Boy – “I have a golf ball.” Man – “That's nice.” Boy – “Want to buy it?” Man – “No, thanks.” Boy – “My dad's outside.” Man – “OK, how much?” Boy – “$250” A few weeks later, it happens again that the boy and the lover are in the closet together.. Boy – “Dark in here.” Man – “Yes, it is.” Boy – “I have sand wedge.” The lover, remembering the last time, asks the boy, “How much?” Boy – “$750” Man – “Sold.” A few days later, the boy’s father says to the boy, “Grab your sand wedge and golf ball, let's go outside and have some short game practice.” The boy says, “I can't, I sold my ball and sand wedge, dad.” The father says, “What?! How much did you sell them for?” Boy – “$1,000.” The father says, “That's terrible to overcharge your friends like that. That is far more than those two things cost. I'm going to take you to church and make you confess.” They go to the church and the father makes the little boy sit in the confession booth and he closes the door. The boy says, “Dark in here.” The priest says, “Don't start that with me again, you little sh*t. You're in my closet now!”

Incredible photos! Agree with Senna. So lucky we live in Australia where the worst thing we experience right now is too much Xmas pudding.

I was told by a local tuning shop that if I get my brakes done (skimming), the shudder will stop for a while but it WILL come back. At least they were honest about it. They did an excellent job on my car for a service so I respect their opinion. Two of the people who work there have XR6 T's.

Great race, teeeeerrific result! Bit tense towards the end when the pits seemed to be warning Lowndes that his fuel was getting low. So glad he wasn't left at the top of the mountain on the last lap with a conked out engine because we all know who was in second place! Whew, all worked out like magic though.
