  1. Well I just tried V Racing 100 with Nulon Octane booster... We put it on Paul's @ Elite Dyno and it pinged it head off.... It seems that my motor likes PB Ultimate a whole lot better..... We ended up having to run my conservative tune that has 4-5 degrees off timing taken out and I still ran a 12.55@110 At full weight on a hot and Very humid day (90% humidity) Well I wont be using Shell fuel again... I always seem to get dodgy batches... I will be sticking to my E10 and PB for race meets...
  2. I use 98E10 fuel everyday and I have to say my car runs much better on E10 then it does on PB or Mobile 98... reason I want to add Octane Booster for track days is because I race my Xr8 like no tomorrow.. temp get very hot and since it is tuned to 98 only I would like to take the precaution of using a top quality octane booster to prevent pinging if it may occur when the engine temps get hotter then usual.... I It just a precautionary, But I want the best that is available.... But my main concern is will Octane Booster react to the ethanol and cause a fuel line blockage....
  3. I live on the Gold Coast..
  4. Sorry for the dumb question. But I thought I read somewhere on this forum that Gea added Nulon Octane booster to a tank of E10 and he ended up causing his fuel to go off and chunky.... Is this true or false..... reason I ask is I use E10 and I would like to use Nulon in the tank when I hit the circuit to eliminate any pinging when I am pushing it to the limit for long periods... Also has anyone tried NF octane booster.. if so what were your thought, How much does it cost and were can I get it from.... Thanks in advance for your help.. Jabba
  5. You will normally find that the first tank will run rough.. You need to run a few tank in unison to feel the benefit.... I use E10 98 all the time.. I am guessing I get my fuel from the same station as Cooltint.. IFS at Ashmore across from Holden.... I love the stuff,, the ute run smoother crisper and is just better all round.... I do have one query though.... I heard that Gea added Nulon Octane booster to a tank of E10 and it reacted to his fuel, which cause his fuel to congeal and blocked his fuel lines... Can anyone confirm this,, As I have been think about adding Octane booster to my tank when I go racing..
  6. Once you had black, you won't go back..
  7. I would love to, but I have more important things to spend my money on... These last mods will be the last for a long while.. I have a house to finish reovating....
  8. It costs alot.. If I were to do it all again to get big HP I would go the XR6T or F6... I was forced into get a rebuild after I blew my motor at QLD Raceway.. I had the choice of a new motor from Ford, a rebuilt change over motor or get Rob Herrod to build it properly for less then the new Ford motor and same price as the exchange..... Pending on want you want expect to pay around 10 - 20K.. My rebuild cost is towards the lower end of the scale..... NOS would go very well with my motor.. If I were to do it, I would go 200hp at least

How did you get your R33 to hit 275kmh.It would of had to be fairly worked to do that and they were speed limited at 180kmh My R33 GTST was a slow heap of And an XR8 Doing 280kmh Must of been worked as well ← GTR intercooler, Hiflowed the turbo, 18psi, 3inch dump pipe and exhaust system. I cant remember the rest, it was a long time ago.. 1999 in fact.. My CTS 33 was a rocket I rebuilt from the ground up from 3 wreak's and a few new parts. the car was tight as a drum when I had completed it.. and the best part was, the motor we used had only done 1500klm when they smashed the car.. I got pic if you want to see the before and after

275kph in my Nissan GTS-T 33.. Hit the rev limiter in top gear 260kph in my BA XR8 ute... Road was a bit ruff, so I backed off.. Would of easily gone beyond 280kph
  11. I also miss it... once we are hammering down the track its forgotten. Well done Jabba, Elite and Herrod, I have driven this ute before it had the new exhaust put on, very nice to drive good clutch, nice pulling power perfect road manners. ← Thanks Mark.. It is a different car now that the motor has loosen.. Much more snappy, and with the exhaust the way it was, it was really pulling the motor down.. You can't expect and athlete to run his fastest while breathing through a straw... Now that the motor can get rid of it's exhaust gasses it has really changed the way this ute excellerates.. Still perfect road manners, but it's an animal when you put the boot into it...
  12. Rev limit is 7000.. Not much point going beyond that, as I an no longer making power, and the lower plenum cant keep the air up to the motor in NA form...
  13. Manly rod and pistons, 11.25-1 comp, Herrod GTP cam and Vernier gears, Recodition head(No port work), Herrod sump, Herrod underdrives and Billet oil gears, Blueprinted and Balance, My own custon CAI. AF's are a constant 12.5-.7
  14. Here are the graphs showing KW, HP, Ft LB, Nm, N and LB
  15. I know the clutch is not happy
  16. I would not imagine that there are heaps of 300rwkw Boss motors around, so I am stocked to be one of the lucky few who have cracked 300rwkw from and exhaust upgrade and a new tune from Elite Automotive, who are by the way a Herrod supplier for QLD, and a Full built motor from Herrod Motorsport in Victoria.... 3 weeks ago I took my ute to Paul to adjust the AF's and spark curves and the ute has been running rich since I got up to QLD(after herrod rebuild), it could of also been rich because of the fuel I was using(e10-98)... It went in with 266 and came out with 282(back the were it was when it was in Victoria)... Paul had a thorougher look over the ute.. Paul did compression tests and all (bang on 225psi in every cylinder). Paul was a little upset that we could not get any more then 282 and was concerned that we could not hit 300rwkw... We both new that the exhaust was a problem and Paul want to try a few things out for himself... I toyed with the idea of a twin 3" system and even to the trip to North Brisbane to visit Kevin(GT290) and checked out his Difillipo Big Boy system... I decided on getting the Herrod headers with 3" Stainless cats and a custom twin 2.5" system... And along with Paul's handy work we netted a 20rwkw gain which brings it up to 302rwkw, and we are still using a 75mm throttle body.. I also want you to know that it was a bastard of a day with temp in the work shop of 38deg 60% humidity and a very wild storm outside, which did bring ambient temps down fast.. I had an 80mm SS T/B that we were going to use. But my mate destroyed it by trying to modify the T/B for bigger gains... Oh well, it happens and if you don't try we wont learn.. hear is a Vid of the ute on the dyno, and I am trying to upload the scanner pic of the dyno print outs right now, But I am have problem doing so.. But I will persist and get them up ASAP... the images will have HP, KW, NM, LB, FT LB...
  17. What about a helmet, Covered footwear (Not thongs or sandals) Long pants(not polyester).. Long sleeve shirt (Again not polyester)
  18. thanks for the thumbs up guys.... The tyres are a 295/30/19 and 245/35/19 Yokohama V103.. The rears actually measure 311mm across the tyre.. I have them fitted to a 19 x 9 front and 19 x 10 rear ROH Modena rims.... <div class='bbimg'><div class='bbimg'> </div></div><div class='bbimg'><div class='bbimg'> </div></div><div class='bbimg'><div class='bbimg'> </div></div><div class='bbimg'><div class='bbimg'> </div></div><div class='bbimg'><div class='bbimg'> </div></div><div class='bbimg'><div class='bbimg'> </div></div>

    Aero Specs

I have been under one.. They are no differant to the road going ute. Except for extra oil coolers for the engine, gear box, and diff...

    Harmonic Balance

That is correct, and it still applies to the BA/F Ute's......
  21. I am running 295/30/19 on the back of my XR8 ute,, All I had to do is roll the inner lip on the gard (cost $70)... Whether your ute is a tornado or a standard GLS ute, the rear end is all the same, except for ride height.. Here's a pic
  22. OH, thank god you didnt go through with it...... I now deem you as sane... Just don't get any idea's like that again.. OK..
  23. Actually.. I think those cars look better then this T6 with a V8 SC wing..... Corba.. What the bloody hell are you thinking... The wing look sh!t house, stupid, retarded, completely out off proportion to the rest of the car... But hey, it will give an 11 yo boy a wet dream when he See's it... The rest of us are just laughing ..... Some say I am as subtle a sledgehammer. But at least you know what were are really thinking now
  24. I forgot to mention.. I have crappy headers and I am not happy with my exhaust at all.... I know the is at least another 10rwkw in it if I had a Herrod or Di fillipo's complete system... I currently have Geni Tri-y's and a custom 2x2.5 exhaust.....
  25. Des. Get your XR8 cammed with Vernier gears and you will have the beast you were wanting..... I am nt sure whether or not you have seen my thread in the Herrod forum on AFF.. http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=65330 ... But at the moment My XR8 has got 282rwkw with 650rwnm, and that with a Very tight and fresh engine.. Once ran in it should get between 290- 300rwkw... The main figure you should be looking at is the torque it is making it is getting close to what the turbo boys are making and only 50nm less the what a BPT top mount SC BOSS is making... Sure it is still not as much as the Turbo boys but it sure is getting there, and the power is instant, no waiting for the turbo to come onto boost and you also have the awesome v8 exhaust to listen to, not to mention the induction roar..... This is one of the first Dyno runs that rob did on my ute.. the tune is more revised now, as I said 282 and 650 @ wheels..... also the torque is lasting longer....
