Well I just tried V Racing 100 with Nulon Octane booster... We put it on Paul's @ Elite Dyno and it pinged it head off.... It seems that my motor likes PB Ultimate a whole lot better..... We ended up having to run my conservative tune that has 4-5 degrees off timing taken out and I still ran a 12.55@110 At full weight on a hot and Very humid day (90% humidity) Well I wont be using Shell fuel again... I always seem to get dodgy batches... I will be sticking to my E10 and PB for race meets...

I use 98E10 fuel everyday and I have to say my car runs much better on E10 then it does on PB or Mobile 98... reason I want to add Octane Booster for track days is because I race my Xr8 like no tomorrow.. temp get very hot and since it is tuned to 98 only I would like to take the precaution of using a top quality octane booster to prevent pinging if it may occur when the engine temps get hotter then usual.... I It just a precautionary, But I want the best that is available.... But my main concern is will Octane Booster react to the ethanol and cause a fuel line blockage....

Sorry for the dumb question. But I thought I read somewhere on this forum that Gea added Nulon Octane booster to a tank of E10 and he ended up causing his fuel to go off and chunky.... Is this true or false..... reason I ask is I use E10 and I would like to use Nulon in the tank when I hit the circuit to eliminate any pinging when I am pushing it to the limit for long periods... Also has anyone tried NF octane booster.. if so what were your thought, How much does it cost and were can I get it from.... Thanks in advance for your help.. Jabba

You will normally find that the first tank will run rough.. You need to run a few tank in unison to feel the benefit.... I use E10 98 all the time.. I am guessing I get my fuel from the same station as Cooltint.. IFS at Ashmore across from Holden.... I love the stuff,, the ute run smoother crisper and is just better all round.... I do have one query though.... I heard that Gea added Nulon Octane booster to a tank of E10 and it reacted to his fuel, which cause his fuel to congeal and blocked his fuel lines... Can anyone confirm this,, As I have been think about adding Octane booster to my tank when I go racing..

Once you had black, you won't go back..

I would love to, but I have more important things to spend my money on... These last mods will be the last for a long while.. I have a house to finish reovating....

It costs alot.. If I were to do it all again to get big HP I would go the XR6T or F6... I was forced into get a rebuild after I blew my motor at QLD Raceway.. I had the choice of a new motor from Ford, a rebuilt change over motor or get Rob Herrod to build it properly for less then the new Ford motor and same price as the exchange..... Pending on want you want expect to pay around 10 - 20K.. My rebuild cost is towards the lower end of the scale..... NOS would go very well with my motor.. If I were to do it, I would go 200hp at least

How did you get your R33 to hit 275kmh.It would of had to be fairly worked to do that and they were speed limited at 180kmh My R33 GTST was a slow heap of And an XR8 Doing 280kmh Must of been worked as well ← GTR intercooler, Hiflowed the turbo, 18psi, 3inch dump pipe and exhaust system. I cant remember the rest, it was a long time ago.. 1999 in fact.. My CTS 33 was a rocket I rebuilt from the ground up from 3 wreak's and a few new parts. the car was tight as a drum when I had completed it.. and the best part was, the motor we used had only done 1500klm when they smashed the car.. I got pic if you want to see the before and after

275kph in my Nissan GTS-T 33.. Hit the rev limiter in top gear 260kph in my BA XR8 ute... Road was a bit ruff, so I backed off.. Would of easily gone beyond 280kph

I also miss it... once we are hammering down the track its forgotten. Well done Jabba, Elite and Herrod, I have driven this ute before it had the new exhaust put on, very nice to drive good clutch, nice pulling power perfect road manners. ← Thanks Mark.. It is a different car now that the motor has loosen.. Much more snappy, and with the exhaust the way it was, it was really pulling the motor down.. You can't expect and athlete to run his fastest while breathing through a straw... Now that the motor can get rid of it's exhaust gasses it has really changed the way this ute excellerates.. Still perfect road manners, but it's an animal when you put the boot into it...

Rev limit is 7000.. Not much point going beyond that, as I an no longer making power, and the lower plenum cant keep the air up to the motor in NA form...
