  1. Ok cool I try put the standard spring in. Thanks guys this is all new to me lol, always been a v8 person
  2. So if I was to use the 7psi spring would that be close enough to the standard one without the need for a retune?
  3. Oh and it's a 2003 ba
  4. Yeah going to upgrade the injectors and cooler at a later stage. I've ordered a turbo smart one which comes with 5psi, 7psi and 12psi springs. Failing that they told me I could use the spring in my standard 1. Would love to do the injectors and tune now but money won't permit atm lol
  5. Ok well do you know what the standard actuator pressure is and ill just replace it with that
  6. Yeah still standard dump, the exhaust isn't though, I was checking out the turbo smart ones on eBay so would the 7psi ones do the job? The next size up on there is 12psi. Or can you get say 10psi ones from autobarn etc? I don't plan on getting another tune for a while yet
  7. Hi guys I've been doing some searching but now I'm more confused about the size of the wastegate actuator I need? The car is tuned at 10psi and lately I've been suffering from a boost leak around the turbo area and the car is surging as it comes onto boost, I've done the norm and checked all the pipes for splits and tightness as well as all the turbo bolts so I'm thinking it may be the actuator. Being new to turbos I was just wondering what size to get?
  8. Just tried this, worked a treat mine must have been pretty dirty because the difference in pick up is rediculous!
  9. Yeah the mrs and I not long had another baby so the cost of a 6spd conversion was out of the question. So a new clutch it was
  10. Had an expensive week! Clutch started to slip so rather then stuff around with it I out a new one in and did the centre bearing while I had the tail shaft out. Worst part was undoing the top startermotor bolt, what a sh*t design that is! Also got rid of the black 19's and put some chrome 20's on it
  11. Yeah it's 5 speed, the clutch has started slipping in 4th and 5th so that the first thing on the list
  12. Nah mate wouldn't have a clue hey. Ill be looking for someone around Newcastle after I do a few things to it to get retuned. Found out the injectors are blue Bosch 27lb injectors which really surprises me because of the power difference between stock and the 10psi tune. Think an upgrade may be in order. I thought they came with bigger injectors when there stock
  13. I actually just googled the part number and they came up as Bosch 27lb now still being new to fords, didn't they come out with bigger injectors then that
  14. Hi guys I've not long got a ba xr6t after owning holdens all my life and want to start doing a few more mods to it. It's flashtuned with a twin mandrel exhaust I've found so far. I'm looking to upgrade the valve springs, chuck a bigger intercooler and fuel pump in. Was going to change the injectors as well but because I'm not sure what's been done I thought I'd put a pic up to see if anyone knows what they are. Sorry not the best pic but thought you would get an idea. They are blue but not sure how else you can tell what they are
  15. Oh sorry yeah I also got the hand controler for the tune and was told it was done on a dyno and saved into it so if I wanted to return it to stock settings I could and still be able to change it back anytime. And yeah I've noticed how much fun these can be and loose in the wet after I started getting wheel spin in 5th in the wet. Something my previous Holdens couldn't do lol
