Hey guys just about to order some king springs to lower fg ute The choice is between SSL and SSSL front and rear (front springs, new rear leafs) Much difference in getting new kings leafs for the rear or should I just have my stock reset? as the kings rears are where the costs come into it! Ssl said to make centre wheel to hub 355 at the front and 360 at the rear SSSl said to make centre wheel to hub 345 at the front and 350 at the rear Apprently kings said they can have trouble/issues with SSSL on the rear, has anyone experienced this? The sssl on the rear definitely would look better IMO but dont want to be faced with replacing stuff as a result by the way, wheels are 20s by 8.5 on the front (+20) and 20s by 10 on the rear (+15) any advice would be awesome Thanks

Ok thanks dude! Sounds like fronts I could have almost pushed +20 front and +10 rear
-
Wheels all ordered, now to wait and see them in the flesh and hope they fit ok 20 x 8.5 on the front +25 off set 20 x 10 on the rear +15 off set standard height fg f6 ute will lower and possibly have to guard roll rear
-
rear is a 10 inch also sorry

Interesting thread guys Im about to order some 20's for the FG ute and was going to go 8.5 +20 on the front (seems like that's the choice for flush) but was also going to go +20 on the rear, after the above it seems like I could go a bit lower offset on the rear, maybe like a +10 or +12 or something? Any one run this set up?
-
And p.s Deshi that looks tough, what have you done to make it sit that low? springs, coilovers? and how does it ride
-
Ok so looks like im going to get my guards rolled, what would be a nice yet still agressive (flush) look on fg ute 20 x 8.5 fronts (custom off set) 20 x 10 rears (custom off set) Once I have worked out an offset, there ready to be ordered! ute at stock height at the moment but want to lower
-
Thanks man I thought utes went lower offset ike +12 or +15 in the rear because of the guard space? Sounds like to look good, guards need to be rolled, feck, not overly keen on that but may have to bite the bullet Has anyone had close to flush without having to touch the guards? That would be ideal
-
Firstly, sorry guys I'm sure this has been asked and I would look through the past threads but I need to order today, bit of a rush Fg f6 ute 20 x 8.5 front 20 x 10 rear I'm after the most flush/filled out guard look possible without having to roll or pump the guards What is my best choice for a custom off set? I can get between +30 down to +15 on, but he said the +15 probably would need guards rolled Stock height at the moment but want to lower ASAP not stupid low but a tough stance Thanks heaps in advance!

that's my concern too The ego color is so nice on a sunny day with the metalic through it I would hate for it to be a noticably different colour :(

Fg F6 Ute First Mods Complete, Now Im Hooked

Howdy mate Only took a photo of the dyno on my I phone, didnt get a glimpse at the torque measures I just wanted to get in and drive the thing! Mine is a 2010 model and has ford badge on steering wheel, not fpv badge, I think this differs the euro 3 from 4? could be wrong? So much more fun now, feels almost more controllable when wheelspinning too which is odd Bruce has an f6 and he said his is also apart of the unlucky batch -
Hey Guys Finally got me first bit of work done to my ford f6 ute, and im very happy Saw Bruce from Heinrich performance in Adelaide (the apparent Ford guru) Pretty basic, it had a K&N filter in already, put a hi flo cat in and had the xcal 3 custom tune and Bruce modded the airbox slightly (larger hole made in bottom of box) and it came out with 353 rwkw very happy From what I have read, Bruces dyno runs a little high, but still, the power difference is VERY noticable Went from 8pound boost to 17 now, pulls much harder, spools louder and even makes more of BOV noise on gear change (some find it tacky but im loving it now!) Now im hooked and look forward to doing more mods down the track! Only downside, Bruce said my f6 has the dodgy valve springs that a batch of the F6s have, so sometimes when hitting redline/wheel spinning, when you change gears it goes a bit underpowered and you need to release the throttle for a couple of seconds, any advice for this new valve springs?

Rowdy im hearing ya, I rang them down here in Adelaide (2 different ford dealers) neither of them sounded like they wanted a bar of it. I have to drive there for them to 'inspect' it now Considering just leaving them, although they do scrape every time I leave/enter my driveway, kind of annoying
