  2. Hi, I'm after any help about my speakers. I only have standard audio but all of a sudden the left hand side speakers started to crackle that bad that you can only make out the music from the right speakers.Move the balance all the way to the right and nothing, start to go left and it start straight away. It's only the left side. I bought new speakers, checked the connections and it seems fine.Started up,all good until 5 minutes down the road it started again, then stops and is working fine and then starts playing up again. It's driving me nuts. The radio works fine.It only does it when playing cd's which is all I listen to. Took it to ford and apparently its fine, the bloody thing didn't play up with them, but they can look into a new unit for me at around $450,I'm not paying that money for sh*tty std sound. Could it be a loose wire at the back of the icc?? Any advice would be appreciated as I've never had any electrical issue's to deal with before(that's if it is electrical). Thanks Bob.
  3. I'm good mate, and you? Would be awesome to get down for a cruise with you guys oneday. Anything happening over December?

  5. Hi all, I'm heading down your way tomorrow. 1st stop,Newcomen st at 8:30 for a haircut. I've been going to the same place for almost 20yrs. I'll never forget the 1st time I went there, just left and was walking up the hill when the earthquake hit, that was a spin out. Then on to my old stomping ground Belmont to see my nana.feeling abit slack so thought I would make an effort and go see her. And that's about it,say hi and drive back home. Newcastle is a great place.Grew up at Jewells.I've been living up here (near Crescent Head) for 21yrs but still miss Newy.Lots of good memories. P.S..love donuts Where is Crispy Cremes?????
  6. Went in town and seen the boys today, I told them I want the scratches removed, not covered up. GOOD NEWS Apparently they are not that bad and they have seen alot worse. Take the car in on thursday, they need it for about half the day. A light cut, buff and finish off with a polish, should set me back about $170.. I will just be happy when they are gone.
  7. Thanks for the advice mate, So pissed off,I would only go through the carwash because I done my back in again, they seemed to appear all of a sudden, one week nothing, the next week this f#ckiing mess. I don't care what it costs to remove them, just want them gone. :censored:
  8. Yeh,not happy mate. check out the photo's
  9. Bad news,I need some help guys!!! haveing only hand washed the car 2 times since applying the tech wax the scratches have reappeared...F*ck..#$&%. This scratch x you talk about, can you apply to the whole car? Any recommendations on getting rid of these scratches for good? I will never ever look at a car wash again..F@*k...
  10. Used Meguires nxt generation tech wax paste.
  11. A couple of days ago I almost had a heart attack when I looked down the side of the car in the sunlight and it was covered in big scratches, not deep but all over the car, doors, guards, bonnet. Not a single panel was without these dirty big sweeping scratches. Hate to say it but they are from the carwash, yep, that's right, the traditional weekend $10 program 2 special. Not a fan of the carwash, but its somthing I have to do. Bad back, dirt road and tank water. Anyway, Got out early this morning, washed and then polished the beast and couldn't be happier. The colour looks abit deeper and not a single scatch to see.

    Tailgating

Tailgating pisses me off something shocking. I find nothing worse when I'm doing 7 or 8 k's above the limit with some moroon sitting 2 metres behind on a country road at 6am,roos everywhere, plenty of places to pass and they don't. sh*ts me to no end, that's when I apply the "well you want to do 90 now asshole"go slow tactic. Finally they get the hint and pass, and off they go only to find 30 seconds down the road I am slowly gaining on them.WTF is wrong with these people. I was following the Mrs home one day.She gets very nervous whenever someone sits to close behind her. There was a car between us and this c#ckhead thought it would be good to sit about a metre behind her,I couldn't beleive how close the idiot was,I thought I would see how he liked it and I sat up his ass and what do you know,he didn't like it one bit.He spent the next couple of minutes waveing his arms around, looking around and giving me the finger, screaming his f*cking head off and forgot all about tailgating the Mrs.I just sat there and laughed myself silly. Another thing the sh*ts me is someone doing 90 in a 100,you get to the overtaking lane and have to do 130 to pass them. Can't understand the mentallity of some drivers..amazing Oh well, enough said...
  13. I don't think for only $80 anyone seen me coming. it's not stainless but they done a great job and the sound alone is worth every cent.
  14. I think a 2 1/2 inch straight through sounds the way to go from what I've read. Thanks for the help guys,
  15. Just after some advice. I've tried the ford forums without much luck. My old man has a au11 xr8 which needs a new exhaust system. He was quoted for a complete original system from ford(2 1/4 inch twin system I think it is) at $1300. There is another system that's not original(2 1/2 inch single system) for $700. What are your thoughts on this. Will the single system effect power or are their any other reasons as to not get the cheaper system. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Bob.
  16. You're kidding. I went in the other day, they put it on the hoist, had a look and told me the cost would be under $100. Dropped it in this morning, all done a hour later and cost only $80.
  17. Hey all, Finally had my centre muffler removed today. As trying to save money I just got it cut out and pipes welded in. Happy to report no drone and the sound is sweet as. Best $80 I've spent in a long time. Bob.
  18. Father O'Malley was getting things in order at his church in Belfast before going for a well earned holiday to the greek islands. His replacement was Father O'Leary from Dublin. On his arrival Father O'Malley gave him a small book and explained that it's used when people confess. People tell their sins and in the book has a list of sins and the appropriate punishment for those sins. If you have any trouble ask the altar boys, they are well versed in confession and very helpfull at times explained Father O'Malley. This will help a great deal thought Father O'Leary. Father O'Malley was having a ball on his holiday, but Father O'Leary had a problem. During confession a local lady confessed to having given her neighbor a blowjob. Father O'Leary flicked through the book Father O'Malley had given him and their was no mention of blowjobs as a confession. Not knowing what punishment was appropriate for such a deed,Father O'Leary approached the two altar boys playing on the church grounds and said "excuse me boys, what does Father O'Malley give for a blowjob?" One of the alter boys replied "a packed of chips and a can of coke"
  19. WAHOO!!! Well done Craig
  20. G'day mate, I bought a set for my au11 xr8 when I owned it,my dad own's it now. I couldn't complain about them.Great in the dry and not to bad in the wet. He will need new tyres soon but they have close to 60,000k's on them. Can't complain about that. Bob.
  21. R.I.P Steve, You will be greatly missed
  22. Why did the walrus go to the tupperware party???? He was looking for a tight seal..
  23. That would put it in the 10L/100KM bracket!?!? I'm sorry, but I find that very hard to believe. Are you sure it's a XR6T & not an XR5T ? ← Actually its about 11.2L/100km and yes its definately a XR6 turbo...
