  1. Law hey? damn I'll have to ask the question. If they say yes to a new towball then surely... a mod is a mod! :D
  2. Sorry to be off topic, but quickly are you allowed to modify your vehicles at all with a lease?
  3. Great find mate! Thanks
  4. Im in Perth and Ive had all my cars insured with Shannons. They've always beaten any quote from RAC etc and they have superior benefits such as choosing my own repairer etc Modifications aren't an issue at all. Having said that, I was very close to changing to RAC lastmonth, but Shannons bettered them by $4 a month and lowered my excess $200 aswell so I stayed This is only for my POS EF XR8 but. The quote will be interesting for a GT or F6 I want to get.

  6. I think I will be dealing with Titan also. I was in Centre Ford today (again... bloody EF XR8!!) and they had a Silhouette Typhoon and it looked BAD! I wanted to get an aftermarket bulge bonnet but everytime I look at a Typhoon in real life I think why bother! Anyway, thanks for the info. I hope my Tornado dream comes into a reality.
  7. Well done Hypnodoc, Ive been following your Typhoon for a while now and I'm pretty jealous May I ask which dealership you go through? Titan?
  8. As I said, Im not in the top tax bracket, so Im unsure if it's still affordable for me. I do want a ute so Im happy to hear about the FBT advantage with one. By the way I went to Ford thismorning and he was trying to tell me Luxury Tax applies over $50k vehicle. I thought it was $57k ?!?
  9. that's the problem with me, I won't be using it for work, and I'll only be doing about 18-20k's a year. I want a ute but so I dont think km's will be an issue. Im not in the top tax bracket but so Im not sure how cost effective it will be. I have a good accountant, but haven't spoken to him about this yet as I want to find out as much as I can by myself first.
  10. Is it possible to have a Novated Lease without having to do a certain number of kilometres per year? Or is that called a different kind of lease?
  11. Sorry to drag this old thread out, but its got some excellent information in it which would still be beneficial to anyone today. Im in a position where I want to lease an F6 Tornado for 3 years. Im not 100% sure on how the lease options I have will change because it's a ute. I'll be driving about 18,000km's a year - of which none will be official business travel (damn office job) Could someone please spend the time and explain how, because it's a ute, will make it easier for me to lease. I don't have an ABN or anything like that, so will that matter? Thanks
  12. OK thanks, but can this 'downloading' be done in my own garage? Whats involved?
  13. Apologies for my lack of knowledge in this field, but I need a little learning with regards to installing an edit and the ongoing maintenance of a vehicle with one fitted. Scenario: I get an edit installed and get it dyno tuned so its running tops. Then comes along the 12 month service which I have to get done at the dealership so they will tune it to the factory specs. So where does that leave the tune of the edit? Do I have to get it tuned AGAIN with the edit 'specs'? Or will I simple plug the edit back in and its back to its A1 dyno tune spec again and I can forget about it for another 6 months? Just need clarification on this somewhat basic arrangement. Thanks!
  14. Yep, I'm fixated on owning one of these at the moment
  15. Hey guys, Just been to the Perth Auto Expo today and talked to one of the FPV Marketing guys there and he said to expect an announcement on the 2nd of May regarding the offical launch of the F6 Tornado. I myself can't wait - planning to get one in a few months and slowly planning what upgrades I want done already
  16. Hey guys, first post here. Will a Tornado be roughly the same insurance as a Typhoon?
